I wanted to give another persons perspective about the University of Vermont. So I'm gonna call one of my best friends, Tessa, and give her face time. Eso Tessa, why don't we start just having you introduce yourself and tell everyone at home about why you chose UVM And I just chose you bm because I was down to three schools and they were all really different. When I came to UVM admitted Students Day, I just love the location and I felt a sense of community that was different than the others and that's awesome. So you talked a little bit about the student body. People always ask me what's the vibe is to embody what's it like? What's been your experience at UVM? I think that you bm people have a lot of different interests like a huge range of interests and so it's really easy to find your people and to find the people that you get along with. Uhm so you've taken a lot of class that you be have now you're gonna be a junior this fall. Can you tell me about your favorite class? You've taken my favorite causes, probably the class you have to take as a first year in the Rubinstein School of the Environment and Natural Resources. It's a full year class, and the lab portion of it is like field trips to places around Vermont. So one cool places we went to the top of Mount Mansfield's to see how the landscape changes as you go out. Last semester you got to study abroad. Where did Ugo and what was that? Like? I went to Costa Rica with a group of you damn students, and we were top of even professors in on the Osa Peninsula, which is like the most biodiverse place honor. So it was cool to do environmental studies there do ecology there, and it was kind of just like you been on a little farm. What was your fair food you ate there? We had a lot of rice and beans, but they were so good, awesome. I know this summer we have a really cool internship. I have an internship this summer with the Vermont River Conservancy, and they hired me because I apply for an internship through them with broom unseen. They have like a whole program where different organizations host interns and you'll buy for, like, money as you want. She takes you through and I got one Conservancy. So your older and wiser than you were in high school. You know, you've been through college a little bit. What advice would you give your high school self about the college search process? I was kind of picky at first when I was applying to colleges like they had to finish her and mold. I think it's really important toe have a broad range of Ecologists because, like what? You're interested in changes throughout the process, so keeping an open mind at the beginning of it is really helpful. Okay, so of course it's Vermont, and anyone that knows me knows I love ice cream. What's your favorite Ben and Jerry's flavor? I recently have really liked chunky monkey because it's like banana. Um, I use like a lot and then they made it on everyone. Tested and talking about UVM. See you soon.
