Students here at the University of Kentucky are like involved in like a live variety of activities because everyone is involved in different things. What do you think The Finds UK that's different than other campuses? I've personally never experienced such a large school with more school spirit and overwhelming sense of school pride and school spirit to the point where promotes an overwhelming sense of community. What do you think are some stereotypes that UK has? I definitely think, like I said before, the Greek life stereotype is very prevalent here. Or people think that if someone is in Greek life, that they're just basically like as dumb as a door not, But that's not the case at all, because I know, like, even look at yourself like several people involved. A Greek life here are super, super smart and super involved, like in other things besides social activities that are offered on campus. I definitely think that like people believe that if you came from a certain area like specifically an area from Kentucky, that you're only going to speak to people from Kentucky. I found that that's not the case, you're from Kentucky and I have several friends from Kentucky, and they welcomed me like into their friend groups, like with open arms. Like, I personally think that that's just no, really incorrect, but yeah, tell everybody where you're from. So and how did you pick to go to school here? Basically, my whole family goes here because of the president of the university. Brother was specially recruited to go here by the president himself coming from New York. How would you say Okay, so coming from New York, I definitely expected everyone have those a deep southern country accent. I definitely expected to people, you know, like be like a little slower pace, which sometimes is base over. I also do believe that Southern hospitality is a real thing that I've definitely like recognized here because people are, like, very genuine and nice and genuinely Do you want to get the time? Take the time till I get to know, You know, with whatever. So tell me a little bit about your major and your typical semester course load. I'm a political signs major with minors and history and Spanish on basically a typical course load for me. I definitely like went out of my way to finish all my core requirements. Starting out myself Maurier, I only took a political science courses on. Basically, after this semester, I won't have any more political science courses, and I could spoke some Spanish finer. From this point prior, I basically would take, like, four political science courses and then one history course to fulfill those requirements. So how many hours dismissed her? Typically, I would take anywhere from eighteen to fifteen, eighteen, fifteen hoof classroom buildings are you, Ms Lee? And honestly, I'm mostly Whitehall right home. That's basically where they put up departments and like majors that specifically don't fall under one specific category or friends. How many students do you see in your whole costumes? I'm in my classroom specifically, I would say they're about like forty to fifty students, so you feel like you can still like, managed the course load or how do you feel? Definitely, this semester is a lot more strenuous for me, because I decided tto be like above beyond which, like in the future, always she always does, which in the future I will not be doing that however you will. I know that God is like my professor's office hours specifically this semester and, like getting to know them like a more personal level has, like, help me out. What are the pros and cons of convicted? For the most part, a majority of the faculty members that I first met here have been super accommodating and knowledgeable about all aspects of school questions that I have and like, life related questions. So I've definitely made, like, a lot of connections with my professors they genuinely like, Do you want to get to know, you know, only, like on an academic level, but on a personal level and at first, like I thought that that wasn't the case. Like once, I like broke more out of my shell and, like, constantly, like, made the effort to go speak to them like it was very obvious that they like Jake, I'll give a personal anecdote. Last year I felt like I was so, so out of place because, like, I wasn't part ofthe, like a specific organisation or club that, like I genuinely felt comfortable and I wasn't a part of great place. Like once you find those opportunities like you'LL find your home like at the university, which, like I think it's something important, like all students like thinking about coming here or let students that go here like it definitely takes like a little bit of time, which, like that's definitely a con. I think like you think that everything is just going to follow the place instantly. That's college in general, like that's not how life works, not like reality. Once you put in the time and effort, you'LL definitely find your police some other cons, which I'm sure everyone who said but probably parking is a super bad here. You don't know where to go to get those, like resource is for help. So if you don't do, like looking and you're not, like, assertive, like in your own matter, you're not going to find the help they need because, like I said, like everything at the university, like we have all these opportunities. The problem is that you have to be the one to go and find them. Like, if you are not prepared to enter any kind of big school, you should probably look at a small school. What was some advice?
