Yes, I'm happy that you're excited because this is this is a really, like, awesome opportunity, sort of just like think about our experience, your experience, my experience being a VM for the past couple of years for the past three years for you on. They were the things that helped me not find my passion amazing and I think, like I feel a lot of that energy to in the sense that life, my experience, you bm wouldn't be what it is without the involvement outside of class, like going to school is one thing, but without the stuff that enriches it, and that makes it all more fun and enjoyable and, you know that gets me through the day. My student enrollments have allowed me to find some of the best people on the planet. The community at U. B. M is very warm, very welcoming, very friendly, super different from where I came from, where if you would look at someone wrong like he would, you know, get into a fight. You can celebrate that and and that Chyna's well outside of sort of that student culture. You know, we have be pleasant organizations where we're able to find that community table able to find that like welcoming space And sometimes like I noticed, the people that I meet in those organizations are also in my classes and vice 1st 1 of my biggest memories from my first year actually was meeting another orientation leader at, like our staff or orientation Stop puff up. You know that event And then I started a class like the next week, and her name is the Curia. I met her in class after having already met her in another involvement, and that was really great connection on DSO. Like one thing that I really appreciate about you bm is that that sense of community not only exists like in the social spaces, but it also continues into the classroom. I've found people from my multiple drop that I worked in in my classrooms and we, you know, work on projects together, we we saved seats for each other in class because sometimes it's like hard to find a C in like large electric glasses. We, you know, make sure that we stayed together, make sure that we're prepared for exams. The academic culture has been has been really great. I all the presenters that Yeah, that's really cool, too. What does that look like? What does that mean? And we, you know, she brought a presenter that knew all about that that had experience with a convict and looking at their, uh, background their psychological past. Sociology to be I'm really, um really wanted Teoh. Remember, you're going to definitely feel like you are valued as an individual student as well as like in a larger group. I also got to know, like those I was sitting around as well because we were able to, like, turn and talk with our neighbors and, like, engage with them and hear their stories as well and hear their opinions, which is really nice taking all of that considered. What would you come up with? Um, I guess one con would be that something that I ran into when I came into being was, you know, I was coming from Florida, where we have a C Everywhere we go, Um, some of the dorms might not have a C things like that. The first time it happened, like UVM students helped me up, so it was so again, like always, we always like paying attention, always helping other people. That's something to as long is, you know, we're prepared. So if you know, you do come to you, bm definitely highly recommend you invest in a nice like invest like I mean, like, put money into winter clothing because winter typically last from I would say mid to late November, Teoh around a prole, and I'm not exaggerating like I calculated the first No, we had this year Waas November 7 and the last know that we had was literally like I want to say, April 28th or something. We're really fortunate to have a physical plant apartment that really, amazingly plows are sidewalks in our streets, like independently of the city of Burlington. I mean, I just I really I hear what you're saying to, and it's like it's really it's really advice. What would you say sets UVM apart from any other college campus that you personally visited or just in general? I know you're doing an internship with another university right now. Maybe you could speak directly to that a little bit, but like, what would you say that UVM apart from any other college campus? Um, I think I really loved the students at UVM, and, um, the way that our school just kind of off lifts other students instead of bringing them down. I'm thinking up one time it was like Halloween and this student dressed up as a dinosaur, it's like, go to class. We were like, Yeah, like you go Do you like this is like, cool and I don't know, I feel like, Yeah, there's with my, you know, bullied up person. Then something else that I really like is that I love how the students are so dedicated to change, whether it be on campus or world. You know, in the world, like in the country, we've whenever issues come off like Leeds do engage in protests, we do engage in just like change in general. We've a lot of the things that you see at UVM are because students, you know made that club organization. That's why I love it, because I, you know, came in as an activist wanting to do more. You know, students have that power and they've made me want to be a better activist. UVM students are probably the most some of the most passionate in the country when it comes to social change, equity justice, especially with what we're seeing in the world with regards to anti black racism, on discrimination against other minority ized and marginalized identities, and people that hold those identities. UVM students are truly on the front lines of organizing here in Burlington, but also nationwide. We have participated in the climate march we have like there are so many ways that students can engage in activism truly, um, and also really hone in on those skills Like marketing. I said, like, what were some a specific opportunities that you took part of that, like, really helped you build those girls? I've gone Teoh building a better activist conference. You know, we're trying to help other environmental changes happen on campus. I really feel grateful to be in the community that has pushed me to really consider how I show up in social change and social justice as not necessarily an outcome that's coming but a zoo, a continual process. I, I credit the Berklee College of Social Work for that sort of mindset about social justice, because it's really and ongoing journey, and you be on students are truly in it for the long haul and so thinking about how much you've changed as a result of like being you beyond being exposed to all of these things. Like, you know, if it doesn't go that way, I'm gonna be pissed and you know, it's not gonna work out. I think also to understand that plans can change and, you know, just know that you are where you're meant to be, and everything happens for a reason.
