Applicants must be sophomores or juniors who attend a four-year, accredited college or university in Nebraska and major in a natural science including chemistry, physics, biology or geology. Students must plan to enter a career in a science-related industry, science teaching or scientific research.

Applicants must be graduating high school seniors or current undergraduate level students with a 3.0 GPA or higher. Students must submit a 1,000-word essay describing their academic goals and how those goals will help them to give back to the community.

Applicants must be enrolling in or currently enrolled in a U.S. undergraduate, graduate or law program with a minimum 3.0 grade point average. Students must include an essay pertaining to bullying along with their application materials.

Applicants must be enrolling or currently enrolled in an automotive technology program at an accredited trade school, community college, college or university.

Applicants must attend or plan on attending Midland University and participate in the speech and debate team.

Applicant must not be a resident of Nebraska.

Applicant must have a minimum composite ACT score of 25 and a minimum 3.5 GPA.

Applicants must have graduated from a Nebraska high school. Applicant must enroll (or have already enrolled) in a Nebraska college/university that will qualify a graduating student for at least an entry-level position in print journalism. Applicant must be a a transfer from a Nebraska community college with at least 45 credit hours and a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Applicant must be a graduate or graduating senior from Bertrand High School who will pursue a two-year, four-year, graduate degree or certificate at an accredited post-secondary institution full-time. Minimum 2.5 GPA required.

Applicant must be a graduate or graduating senior from a Phelps County high school who will pursue studies in health care, human services, long-term care or nursing. Minimum 2.0 GPA required.

Applicant must be a graduate from a Phelps County high school who will enroll at a college or university in Nebraska full-time pursuing an education in an agricultural related field. Minimum 2.0 GPA required.

Applicant must be a graduate of Holdrege High School who has completed at least two years of college towards a degree in education. Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA required.
