MY TEST SCORES - How I Got Into YALE 2022
The following is an computer-generated summary of the video transcript.
We are also going to be delving more into the test aspect of that. Without further ado, let me go and talk about my test scores a bit in terms of my scores for the S A T. I scored in the 99th percentile, but I'm not gonna tell my exact score because people literally compare scores by the point. So let's just say that I was in between the 14 50 the 1600 right for the A C T. I did not take the agency for my AP exams. AP calculus AP AP Chemistry and eight years history And once again I'm not gonna go super specific or exactly what I got for all those exams. Let's just say that I passed exams, but I didn't necessarily get any five. Let me just say that it was enough to get the AP Scholar Award and for the S A. T two. Well, my essay was I don't think that the things like too important for the city s city with essay is required. The S A T twos are encouraged, but they are optional as well as for the exams. Unlike the AP exams or even without, like you know, submitting my s a T two or even taking a C T test scores are definitely definitely overrated. As for the S A T, it's good to be in the range that I stated, like 1416 100. Everything is compared to your school personally for me, I stayed in the common up that the average s a T score for my school was pretty low. For example, a kid who got a 1500 on the S a T where the average score in their school is like a 1500 won't look as appealing to a kid who got a 1300. That's 80 whose average score in the school is like a 800. I kinda exaggerated that you can kind of see where and just keep in mind that the college admission officers are really, really human and they realize that s a T. And all those tests are literally, literally are literally are literally just a 34 hour test you take on some random ass weekend where you don't want to go, and they are really minuscule compared to all the long term accomplishments and long term things that you have been doing over the years. Like grades were literally four years over development or like extracurriculars would show your passion. What you're actually just try to do well within the context of our situation and just, you know, take that city. Don't be taking it like five times 10 times, you know, because at that point you know it's much better to be investing your time and other things like your college essay or any other extracurriculars and time management things, rather than just trying to get, you know, 50 points extra on the S A. T. Because once you reach like a threshold, that is better than your school. That being said, I feel like there's so many accepted that being said, you don't have to get over a 1414 50 again to you personally, I know a few people here who have gotten like, 13 hundreds and gone to you. That being said, you know, make the most out of your situation. Like all those other good colleges, for the most part are truly a holistic process. They literally look at everything in application and personally for yell something better read on the admissions tip website that I was reading on you when I was applying is that they said Yalies, for the most part, don't really have that one thing that distinguish them. It's a combination of a bunch of little things in many different areas that kind of get you there. For example, you know you have good grades and you also pretty good at city scores, and you have, like, you know, a unique factor about you or like you need extracurriculars. They're not gonna solely look at your brains or your test scores or whatever. Just try to craft your application to be this very solid being that truly represents. Please tell your parents you do not need a perfect s a T score to get a teal. So many people with 16 hundreds or, like 36 is the A C T s. And like, 10 AP classes, all fives. You know, so many people get rejected with all those amazing stats. Don't compare yourself to other people with that He scores. Some people would like higher city squares in me once again to each their own. You don't have to stress too much about these things. You know, try your best in love and tried to make the most out of your situation. The s A T and the A city and the AP exams on city too. All those tests are not truly essential for your admission into a good college. Don't slack off and have good scores relative to the context of your environment. Also make sure to mention things like oh, in my school. So then once you met that threshold, now you can do things like your extra crates. Where is their essays? Your background, your interview, your combinations, those things that really helped distinguish and help shape your application even further and ultimately help you get in two years in college. You know, I really love questions I really love, you know, feed about. Don't stress too much about your grades but actively work hard for them at the same time doing something that you actually love.
