I am 1/4 year here at what your college, I double major in english and theater with an emphasis on performance. I am working at the Whittier College office of admissions. It's really easy to establish connections here. I came from a small high school, so coming into a small college was a pretty smooth transition. So for me it was the campus tour that did it for me. I think looking at statistics on the page can be a little unnerving or a little, you know, boring just because they're just statistics. So when I visited with your college and I was able to look inside the classrooms and I was able to see professors talking with students in the hallways. I knew that I wouldn't get lost in the shuffle. I knew that I'd be able to have really great relationships while I was here. Everything that I had seen on that campus visit worked out and I applied for one of your college. I did early admissions, so I found out in december I was going to get in and I got in. When I ended up choosing what you're not only because it had the best financial aid package, but because it's where I really, really wanted to go. Um I published my first paper with my advisor, dr Jonathan burden um at the beginning of my junior year I got into some really great summer fellowships, like three different ones um in the summer between my junior and my senior year, I'm now applying to graduate schools. Um And this is all done with the help of the faculty here. So those relationships that I've built have been really strong, the kind of culture that we built on campus to be really inclusive and diverse and accepting of everyone.
