Who are you? And why did she? As I'm Jordan Farrell, I'm a senior at Western. I chose to come here because I actually got a scholarship to come here called the Foundation Scholarship. I'm actually double majoring, so I'm majoring in accounting and finance in that program, I would say most of my time is spent learning about the different processes and rules for accounting and finance, so that involves a lot of lectures, a lot of studying and then, in general, just in the business college itself. So the Hayworth College of Business actually has a bunch of different things that I would say separate them from the other colleges. They have designated rooms where you conduct interviews with riel companies who are looking to hire graduates. Yeah, the building also has a writing center in it, so you don't have tio go elsewhere to get like your resume Creek critiqued. There's well, you can get papers looked at and reviewed. You can practice group projects and presentations, and they'LL give you feedback right there. I'd say Western does a good job at providing a ton of opportunities for students on DH. I'm talking like clubs to join organizations to be a part of events. Teo partake in job fairs, uh, students that actually take advantage of all the stuff going on on campus. They're set up very well for success after graduation. Some of the work it organizations I've been a part of include intramural sports. Uh, those get a lot crazier and more competitive than you might think. I remember a lot of yelling and screaming and down to the wire moments on DH, winning a championship and getting that T shirt, my honestly, soccer. So I think getting that T shirt might honestly be one of the biggest accomplishments I've had here at Western. Tell me about Part Parking sucks a bunch here, especially as a business student when most of your classes they're scheduled during the same times on Tuesdays and Thursdays. There's only one really kind of parking lot for the business school area and most of time. Like I give more stressed trying to find a parking spot that I am preparing for an exam. Then I'd say another con is that at least from my personal experience, it feels like there's almost like a double bell curve here at Western in terms of the students. So there's like a group of students on one end that are on the lower side and on a completely other group of students at the higher side. I think you can almost see that in the data because westerns like completion rate over six years, it's like at fifty two percent and fifty two percent. I think that's like actually pretty decent on average scale. At schools like you, Obama, it's ninety percent MSU. It's seventy eight percent on DH. I don't think we should just be average. So Thiss guy is Dr Montgomery, who is the president of the university, and he is taking great strides to improve what Jordan describes as the double bell curve at Western. Dr. Montgomery is incredibly involved in student life here Western, and he cares a lot about our opinions and what he could do to make our life better. Um, and he also was telling me the other day about how he is working to improve graduation rate in getting students out within four years. It's only his second year, and he's already done great things for the university, so I can't wait to see where he goes in the future.
