Don't let anything stop you from applying to an internship for a job. Don't let anything stop before applying to mentorship into an internship for job. It's so even if you don't think you're qualified, apply Hey guys! And welcome back to my channel. This is a new video called The How to Get an Internship. Tips on How to Do Good in like an internship interview and my internship experience. Thank you for joining me today, so it's gonna be hopefully a very short sweet until the point video where I kind of just share what I have learned with this whole internship process and see if you last could also use this for your internship. I know every internship is different, but I think some guidelines are still the same regardless of like, which one you're trying to get paid or not paid. So first things first is you're probably like I understand, sir, by saying You don't really always have to wait to be in a certain year in college to get an internship. There are some where it's like it doesn't matter what your so don't think that dreadful leads like your last year of college to start looking or start applying to some because that was something that I thought upon Come in college, and I shortly realized like, No, that does not matter for all of them, So that's not something that I want. For some of them they love, like if you like maybe a sophomore and you're, like, really wanted one, and you're gonna be willing to learn like the main thing is, if you're willing to learn, you'll get an internship. Don't let anything stop you from applying to an internship. I get this into your probably the process now or being served in the process off where you're like looking on internship like postings or your advisers sending them out for journalism students. Research is really important in all aspects when you're applying, when when you're looking for one when you're applying to one and then when you're about to get it because you want to make sure you have all the knowledge of what you're about to get yourself into and make sure that everything is lining up with, like what you're wanting to do, because I only have one internship, but I would hate if I were to have one. I made sure to research what internships I was once like Like I said, looking for one, all that I applied, I made sure to do all my research all like what needs to be sent in so even little. Once you're done doing your research, you probably have picked about 5 to 10 internships. I think like five, so yeah, it suits you, and you're really excited for on then you're about to apply for them. Yeah, once you have, like, not annoy your stuff together for when you're about to apply, just make sure you have any questions. Then I have shown it Thio, my advisor, and my parents like in the past for one internship, my cover letter also, which is a page four paragraphs saying, like Why I want this internship in your cover letter. Then I center that into why I would be a good fit about citizen in my, like a letter from my advisor, you think that I can take an internship, and then what else was there all on my Web? His recommendations. So I kind of just tied and really well, makes you estimate advance because nine times out of 10 you're when you kind of choose your internship in the deadline. You don't want some like a week before the internship is, you know, I mean, do, because then it's like a weight, and I don't have a letter and now I can't apply. Make sure you display like what you're applying for, why you needed and how they would help that scandal just on. For me, I was really nervous because I was like, I don't like how this is gonna take down everyone's four and I had applied to another stations internship prior, and I heard nothing back from them, so I was like It's like I don't get it. There is nerve racking, but for me, it took about a week to hear back from my internship. Oh, and another thing I do want to throw in here, so I don't forget is a pot apply, Apply, apply Even if you don't think you're qualified, that's like the number one thing I want you take from this video is if you're reading, like, the requirements or something and you're like, Oh, my gpd isn't what they want or, oh, like I didn't like you reading. They don't apply because that's what I did for channel sets. So even if you don't think you're qualified, apply. Why did I did one for radio station internship? I did one for that. I was like, Well, this is great And I was just myself and that's probably like that one bit of advice to like, I can't tell you what you can say in there because I don't know what internship you're fired for. It was so rewarding for me when I got the internship because I didn't, like, start crying. Once you get the internship, let me talk about that deliver. I'll make sure you are like doing what you said you would do when you apply. Luckily for meeting my internship is very like hands on interactive. It's been, like honest and real stuff, just little in between Er's and that's I feel like that's what every internship you're finding out, things like you don't learn in the classroom sitting and that's why they're internships are thing because it's what you're not learning in school. To have gotten at such an early time in my time in college is why I tell you to apply, even though you might not think it's your time, you know, I think you qualify. Still apply because, like my internship credit commercial, so have internship credit for like my school. I'm still applying internships this summer and not Carolina, So yeah, Another thing. Because I know when they came for me looking for internships, I went to like you to look at some videos, like how people tackled it and how they embraced it. I will say that I've seen massive growth in my like craft and how I look at things now because of my internship. So I encourage all of you here to apply to an internship once in college, and she starts and sky's the limit.
