My name is John Marple, and I'm coming to you with a new video about remote learning here at Vanderbilt. I'm a current MSF student here at Vanderbilt, which is a one year strictly finance program within the Owen Graduate School here at Vanderbilt. In general, are class week is Monday through Thursday. For example, one class will meet on Monday Wednesday, and then another class will meet on Tuesday, Thursday. So the hybrid model means that the first class might be on Zoom on Monday, and then your next class on Wednesday will be in person. I think the Vanderbilt University has done a great job, so we do testing here on a weekly basis to make sure that you can go to those in person classes and in terms of overcoming the challenges of remote learning. I think myself as well as my classmates, have done a great job of doing that, and that's really just a product of the testing and the faculty being super lenient with their with their zoom policy. So in terms of how the classes are administered, you're strongly encouraged to attend the classes in person and also during the time on Zoom. That being said, I know plenty of classmates who throughout the fall and even in the spring now how are focusing more of their week on job searching so they can't make some of their classes on Zoom. That's totally fine, because there's the live recording. Since it is a graduate program, we do a lot of group work, and I know the Microsoft teams is very popular there. So we communicate with our career management center, the CMC, through Microsoft teams APP. And I know a lot of group projects like to communicate on there where you can work on group documents such as Excel Word, any other Microsoft products that might help you answering the questions in the case study. Overall, I think Vanderbilt is in the hybrid model right now, so you're half and half, um, there's testing weekly. So Vanderbilt Program has done a great job being flexible and allowing students to still learn while in these challenging times.
