I'm a member of the ski and Snowboard Club, and I love to go get sending it all the local mountains. I'll be taking you on a little tour day, Burlington. We got water bottles were now we just gotta get dressed So I guess it's just we're already Let's get off, folks made it to campus. It took me about 2.5 minutes to bike here, which isn't bad at all. It's really easy to get to class is even when you live off campus. What we're gonna talk about now, Burlington's a wicked bye, Kable city cars were super respectful of bicyclists using the road. There's a ton of infrastructure around campus and around Burlington to we've got about 107.5 miles of bike lanes around Burlington, which is just absolutely crazy. Also have a ton of bike infrastructure that I'm gonna show you while I pop around campus a little bit. I've pulled up to the UVM bike garage, so this is where you can park your bike during the winter. We have a lot of bike racks and stuff that you just saw me hopping around on. So when it's time to break out the skis, you can put your bike away, and then it doesn't get beat up by the snow all winter. All right? And that sort of wraps it up around campus. I hope you enjoyed that little goofy clips, and you got to see a little bit more of the campus right now. I'm gonna go downtown so I can grab the banana dinner I was talking about. All right high took me about two minutes to get down College Street all the way to the grocery store. It's gonna take me another, like, 45 seconds to descend down the hill on. So you don't even have to have your own bike to enjoy biking around Burlington. There's a ton of locations on campus and also off campus around downtown Burlington where you can find these special bike racks on. It's really great because you get all this like beachfront property here. We've got a little skate park, which is pretty sweet. We've also got a little sailing center coming up on my left, but it's really amazing along the trail. There's, like a ton of stuff I will be passing by Dog Park Beach Access on. We've got a beautiful workout station right by the water. Uh, today's a little cold, so there's not too much going on. We're going over an absolutely gorgeous three span trust bridge. Well, miraculously, I haven't hurt myself between biking and doing all this tomfoolery whole big roots. So I am going to try some mountain biking because I feel like I would be remiss if I didn't talk about mountain biking at UVM because it's a huge attraction for a lot of people. We've got one of the best mountains in the world. Just a ride or a drive away in East Burke, which is really cool. So we're gonna go do some mountain biking, uh, and see if we can have some fun. Her folks just got a little through Cindy on the gravel bike, Did a little stop you on the front wheel and almost went over the handlebars. Viking was fun, but let's wait until we get a mountain bike. So catch You want to get to our last stop, we're gonna go visit one of my old internships on started talk about transportation as a whole. Little did you know you're coming for a bridge to are not, actually UVM tour. It's really great toe have, like, multiple bypass. So I'm actually helping out on some projects that have to do with bike stuff or walking paths and all the stuff that gets you there. It's really amazing to see all the hard work they're putting into improving the whole system, making it safer on baking it more accessible to everyone so everyone can get out on bike ride, just like some notes to say at the end. Like if you aren't a big biker, there's plenty of other ways to get around. As much as I enjoyed making it, it was a blast to go around and just do some wacky stuff on my bike. I made sure to size up any segment that I was going to bike with no hands. When you go out on bike, always wear your helmet, and I hope to see you on campus soon.
