The following is an computer-generated summary of the video transcript.
How's it going, everyone? Welcome back to my CampusReel! Today I'm walking around the Pacific campus to be showing you what Pacific has to offer and what my daily life as a Pacific student looks like. So right now I'm outside Calaveras Hall. This is where I live. This is one of the many housing options on campus. I lived here for two of my years of Pacific out of four. It is one of my favorite places to live. It's my second favorite place. I'll show my favorite one later, but yeah, let's get going. Alright. So here, behind me is the DeRosa University Center, also know as the UC. It is our main eating area on campus. Even though we have the Grove and the E.A.T. truck on campus, this is kind of the main place. The food here is delicious. It's a great place to grab a quick bite to eat, to sit down for a long meal with a friend or get some studying done here. Yeah This is a beautiful Communications Building. This is where I take all my classes specific to my major. I originally came to Pacific undecided actually. But I quickly discovered my passion for communication. And this has been my home ever since. And here we are at the famous Robert E Burns Tower, the symbol of University of Pacific. I used to work here as a Student Ambassador. I would work right there on the first floor and right up there on the fourth floor. Let's play a little game. Can you guess what is right up there on the top of the tower? Right there. Is it A) a tiger? Is it B) a water tower? Is it C) bells? Or is it C) a classroom?Guess now. Well, if you guessed water tower, congratulations! You're correct. There's actually a water tower up there. It's actually not full at the moment, unfortunately, but yep, it's a water tower. All right, let's get going. All right, now we're here in Fraternity Circle. This building right here is Beta Theta Pi, and that is my house. I said that Calaveras is my second favorite housing option because this is hands down my favorite, because that's my brothers are. If you're interested in hearing more about my social life experience, including Greek Life, check out my social life videos I'm posting as well. So, yeah. Now let's head over to the WPC Alright. Here we are at the Wendell Phillips Center. I'm actually lucky enough to show you around inside today, so come with me. Okay, so here we are, in our first example of what a classroom looks like a Pacific. This is the lecture hall within the Wendell Phillips Center. This is the inside of the building I showed you. So this is the main lecture hall. This is one of the only lecture halls on campus. Being such a small school, we don't need too many. But for those bigger general education classes, this is where they're gonna take place. I'm gonna show you what the other side looks in a second. But this here is the teacher's perspective: this is where your professor is going to be. Lots of white board space for lots of lecturing, all sorts of fun stuff. So, yeah, let's see the other side. All right. So here's the other side of the room. Here is the teacher's perspective. As you can see, it's one of our larger lecture halls, but It's not too big. It fits about 100. But there's not too many classrooms much bigger than this because you really want to emphasize that small school aspect here Pacific. So, yeah, here's an example of what the average day is gonna look like as a Pacific student. Yeah, that's our lecture halls. Now we're gonna going to show you one of the other examples of a classroom we have here in WPC. So come with me. Yeah, Here's the hallways we got. We have vending machines. If you ever need to get hungry or thirsty throughout the day. Snacks right there in between classes. We also have faculty members' offices here in WPC. So if you ever need to visit your professors, you can come in here as well. Here's one of our classrooms. Alright, most of the other classrooms in the WPC looks like this one. The smaller ones fit about 20 or 30 students each, but we never reach full capacity for the most part, because we specifically strive for that student- teacher relationship. So it's a great place for that. COP is also in located in this building - the College of the Pacific, our liberal arts school. So if you're within any of the major within the COP, you're going to take a lot of classes in this room. But no matter what your major is, if you're in COP or if you're in the Business School or if you're in the Pharmacy School, you're gonna be having at least one class in here. So if you end up choosing Pacific, you can look forward to taking classes. All right. Thank you for coming on my campus for today. I hope you had a good time. And now you know a little more about what Pacific's campus looks like, in the classrooms as well. I look forward to my next video coming out soon!
