The following is an computer-generated summary of the video transcript.
Hi everybody, welcome back to my CampusReel channel. So today I'll be talking about my social life. And so going to college - as much as it's focused around academics and starting your career - it's also very important to have a balanced academic and social life. So make sure when you go to your university, whether it be specific or wherever else, make sure that you're getting involved in more than one way. The industry academics, whether it be by during clubs, finding more, open somewhere, work during reorganization, find something that fits you. So the first social experience I had a University of Pacific was orientation, and ever since then I've been hooked. That was actually how I got my first job. As soon as I had the opportunity to, I applied to be a student ambassador, people who lead orientation. So I applied for the job. I got it, and people with my coworkers I've worked with they have been some of my closest friends ever since I would work in the welcome center where I would answer calls and give you a parking pass and stuff like that. And then I was advised for students without help. Students decide what classes to take each semester and what was the best half for them. I'm going to the future that they need help, like social or academic advice. I was there for them, and I loved that position. As I said, most of my social life comes from that, and I wouldn't be where I am today. If it wasn't for ambassadors, I, all of the different social involvement I'm in now are because of that. So one of the examples being baked in a pie. So I'm a proud member of based upon my group organization and a lot of the fellow investors that I worked with were also members of data that spring. After I had hosted an orientation, I went out and I went to the recruitment offense because a lot of people that they already knew and I was comfortable with them, and I ended up joining, continuing after talking about Greek life. I really encourage if you do ever joining Greek organization wherever you go, don't just stick to your fraternity or your sorority. Although there's a friendly rivalry, there's definitely a tight knit community within that as well. Um, so make sure that you branch out like I'm really close with Delta Gamma. I'm an anchorman for them, so Yeah, I love that. And I'm also hashtag Kappa Alpha theta. So both those organizations have done a lot of good for me. Um, it's a place where I feel safe. I know the people that I can talk to if I ever need support. Um, So make sure that you're gonna be branching out if you do joining the organization that goes for any any organization you may join on campus, whatever you do, um, don't stick to one thing. There's a lot of good people on your university on campus, I promise you that. So make sure you branch out to make your experience the best that it can possibly be. So if you do go to the University of Pacific, I really encourage you to try Greek life for most was coming not wanting to be part of a Greek organization because of the stereotype that surrounds them and for good reason. There's a lot of schools that do have that they do for that stereotype. Unfortunately, um, but a Pacific, that's not the case. My life has changed from being a part of the organization. I'm incredibly grateful to them. So another thing I'm involved in is I am a member of the Social media team at the Communications Department. I started working at this fall, um, in 2020 and I love being a part of that. It's been a great experience for me going into my career, a lot of practice, social media, graphic design, stuff like that. It's been a lot of fun. I've also got to experience the marketing. Uh, I have made some good friends through that. I've recruited some of my friends to join me through that. It's been one of the best opportunity for me to develop and grow as a specific student in my social life and also in my academic life, because it's been a great balance of health. And another thing I want to talk about is that I am a proud member of the film production club. So my girlfriend Hannah, she is the president of the organization and I in the Treasury titled Independent Creators Film Production Club. So in that my girlfriend, she's a she's a media ex major where she's going interested in going into film production specifically, and I want to go into communication like brought more than media side. So it kind of applies to both of us and then that organization. We support the students who are interested in going to the field as well, who need that space to execute and practice their skills, because for a lot of things like that, it's hard to make it on your own. So having a group of people to support you and having people to help you with that kind of thing. Um, it's something that's needed on a lot of campuses and we didn't have the Pacific. But now that's here. So if you do come to get every specific and you are interested in going into media production film production, wherever it may be, make sure check out the club. And I found something that I do is that I remember of a sloop arts and entertainment. I am the media marketing manager for the department, where I am in charge of finding work orders to have the graphics that we see on Instagram. All those posted. I worked on those I work on the marketing plan, so I helped plan what posts are going out with dates like that and also help in general. Those are We have specific goals, and we also help collectively together to help plan a lot of the events that we put on. It's a lot of fun. I wish I could have done it in person. I started this in the fall of 2020 as well. Um, so during Covid. So unfortunately, wasn't able to be a part of putting on the big events like homecoming and black parties like that in person. I was able to do it virtually. There's still a lot of fun. I have made some great friends from that. My team has been incredible. I love them, shout out to my team, and that's a little bit about my social, and that's what I've done the Pacific. It's been a great time. I'm excited to graduate, but because I know that in the future that I'm gonna be staying at the table, the relationships that formed at University of Pacific have allowed me to grow as a person and to become who I am today, and I wouldn't be the same without them. So thank you to everyone who has been a part of that. I adore you. And yeah. So this concludes my social life video. I have one more video coming out shortly. It should actually be out now. Um, my interview with some other Pacific students. So go ahead and watch that now, and yeah, I'll
