I finally have all of my college decisions back. So I'm really sorry about how late that this video is, except I took so many notes and I have so much information to share with you guys. If you're only interested about hearing which colleges that I got into such which colleges I did not get into. I'm gonna be talking about what I did to prepare to transfer to a new university. I'm gonna be talking a little bit about my college experience on a community college as well as extracurriculars, essays, statistics, that kind of basic stuff as well as as I mentioned before, which colleges I got into and which colleges I did not get into. Firstly, I want to start off and just kind of introduced myself and talk about my past college experiences. My first year of college, I attended the University of California, Santa Barbara. I made a really hard decision to leave and move home to San Diego and attend community college here, and I can honestly say it was best decision I've ever made. First, before I get into exactly which colleges I got into versus which I didn't, I decided after leaving UCSB that I was not interested in going into pharmacy. I wasn't quite sure going into college what I wanted to study and leaving the CSB, I discovered that I really wanna pursue business or economics, depending on which school I applied to. I'll tell you guys which Major replied to for each school as well when we get there. I met with several giving any college counselors who told me that I would have to take an extra year of community before I transferred to somewhere as a junior. Thio staying at community for two years when I had already attended college for one year. Luckily, I was able to complete all the prerequisites for a state school, few private schools on the UC schools within this year. So that's 52 semester units, and I got a four point out community, So this really boosted my G p A. I also took to honors courses which may or may not have helped me when applying for colleges. I think it be a 3.2, but they don't really come by and GPS. When you go to community, it's more like you have your community college G p A. And then you have your university to be a So you say speedy and community college, he pays for separate. While I was at Community college, I made sure that I kept up my extracurricular activities. I needed to make sure that I had a good balance of grades as well as extracurriculars when applying, because that's just as important when you are transfer. Thio college admissions Just because that's my major, I brought into account like my awards and is that completed in high school because they are part of me. Just because I was out of college for only a year doesn't mean that I completely changed as a person. Some schools asked for your s a T. That's mostly private schools. Kind of depends on how many units have completed some private schools you can transfer in as a sophomore. So if you're gonna be sophomore, they look at high school grades as well as your s e t. Yeah, I just thought I'd mention that our guys So since I covered my statistics and things that I put on, my application for college is gonna go through the schools I buy two in order of when I heard back from them. So the first school that I applied to and heard back from was San Diego State. I applied as a business marketing major there as well, and I had accepted so another a next is Berkeley. I heard back from Berkeley before any of the other UC schools that I applied to, and surprisingly, I got wait listed at Berkeley and I waas not expecting that. I applied as an economics major, and I know that is a very impacted major at all. So I think they just had a really big transfer class this year. It really prefers you to complete all your prerequisites for your major, especially for business economics by the fall of when you're applying. I think now if I applied again, I have a really good shot at getting in just because I'm four point no and all my g e's as well as my major prerequisites. The next school is UCSD, and you see a C. I played for economics and I got in. I have committed, but I did get into another school and I'm just trying to figure it all out, so I'm actually not quite sure where I'm going yet. The last school on my list is the University of Southern California. I was not expecting to get into the school when I applied. I honestly was just kind of like, Oh, hey, I know they have a really great business school, so I thought I'd give it a shot as well. Somehow I got admitted into Marshall the school of business on as a business administration major, and I'm so excited about it. Yeah, guys, that's all the colleges I applied to re didn't apply to that many because I kind of wanted to stay close to home. There wasn't many schools that I've you know, really wanted to attend. You guys have any questions about transfer for the transfer process? Please leave me a comment blow. Um yeah, I urge you to look into the transfer process.
