So as a music student, my workload is pretty crazy, but it's definitely worth it because we got to do a lot of cool stuff. So your first two years of the music student, you'll be taking your core classes like theory and ear training and now as a junior, I really get to explore a lot of the other fields and I'm interested in. I'm in a world music class right now where we get to learn about music from other cultures outside Western tradition. I am also taking an accompanying class right now, which really gets to explore the collaborative side of piano, my instrument. So I get to play in chamber groups and do accompanying work and collaborate with other performers and music. I'm inquire, I'm in chapel singers, so we rehearsed three times a week. I'm a part of two chamber groups, I mean the piano quartet right now and a piano quintet where I get to collaborate with the string players on our canvas. Then outside of that, we also have individual practice between 3-5 hours a day. So I definitely try and get three and at a minimum every day. So it does take a lot of time to balance your schedule. Uh in high school, it's very structured out for you, but in college you definitely have to manage your time. It seems like you have more free time, but you don't, so you got to make sure that you get that all wrapped up.
