I'm a freshman here at the University of Oregon and welcome to my campus real college tour today and this video. I'm going to go ahead and tell you a little bit about myself and who I am and want to be expecting in this video. Like I said before is Maddie and from San Jose, California Originally, I am here studying public relations in the journalism school and, hopefully Mina Ring in political science and sports business. Okay, so University of Oregon is a huge I mean huge school. There's twenty thousand undergraduates, but three thousand graduate students. It's almost like your stereotypical college campus. When you think of what your traditional campus looks like or what they frame, it's still like in movies. That's what working ISS Sports are huge here, and there's something different. Clubs and things like sports aren't your thing. There's so many other things involved in its and say there's a little something for everyone on this campus on the academic culture. I'm from Cupertino, California so I know what academically competitive culture looks like. People are serious about school and during the week about Monday to Thursday, wanted a Wednesday. People are pretty dedicated on their studies, but it is weak in his. So it's a really good mix, especially if you like farting and like, take your school superstars like I do. My favorite part of campus definitely has to be a sports. Here were a Pac twelve school, so every ofhis televise for the most part in every time of the year. There's some sort of sporting event going on here. Everywhere you go, you'LL find a duck span mean our football games were crazy. There's just so much fun stuff and onsen is beautiful. So no matter what's for you into, we probably have it, and tickets are free for students. Just huge orientation will try to get you to buy a season pass to football's like that. I've never run into a problem where he needed it to buy a ticket, and even if you do for student, it's only ten bucks. So it's not that, and at least we're apart. I would have to say, is probably the weather if you come into it during summer or late spring, you're not getting to see what campuses actually like during most of the year because most of the year it's rainy and it's cloudy. We have Todd Discern his tons of friends, national chapters, chapters that just belong you vote business frauds, tons of them. Uh, so Greek life is big here, but it's not like Alabama are like the South big. It's big and the thing I like about U boats, who is that if you aren't in a sorority or even if you're not a frat, there's still plenty of things for you to do is a girl we can still get in all the parties on boys. Still you, Khun, go Teo and yeah, but of Greek life on something you're super interested in, I would totally get involved. I'm currently in the process of doing spring recruitment because I didn't do fall before. Recruitment is great, and if you're uneasy about it all, don't worry, because everyone else is to just put yourself out there and I don't You will regret it.
