Lind Hall Typical Classroom
The following is an computer-generated summary of the video transcript.
One building that I've had a lot of classes in is Linda Hall, which is located on scholars. Er, my girlfriend and I met there about twice a week this past semester. Teo eat lunch together and sometimes get coffee at Starbucks. Inside, they have this beautiful library that is great for studying. It can get pretty crowded, so sometimes it's hard to find a spot. My classes in Linda Hall are usually English or create rain classes. So those are the smaller discussion based classes that usually can have anywhere from 10 people toe like at most 25 or 34. If you're really pushing it because it is such a large university, there are some classes that can get up to like over hundreds of people. Even in those large lecture is there are multiple T A's who are assigned to different groups of students to try to get students as close of a relationship with an instructor as possible. The tears and the professors always have office iris and usually will also accept scheduling an appointment with them outside of their office hours because the faculty here really does care about helping students and giving them as much help as they need. I think that in most majors, the larger 100 plus lecture size classes are going to be more in your freshman and sophomore year. Those are more the size of classes for you're live beds, as we call them. You know your required classes that you have to take. Then once you get more specialized within your major in your junior and senior year, the class sizes will shrink even for those lectures or science and math classes. Many classes will have a large lecture for the 100 plus size group, but then also have different lab sections and or different discussion sections, depending on the type of class. So even though you do have that large lecture, there are also smaller sections that they break down. Where do you get a personal ta to speak with only a group of 20 people, and it makes it really shrink quite easily.
