My name is Adam, who I'm from Kaneohe Hawaii on the island of Oahu and I currently go to school at the University of Hawaii at Genoa. I'm a junior majoring in electrical engineering, the electro physics track. So what led me to apply to the University of Hawaii and specifically the College of Engineering was first of all I, I knew I wanted to go into engineering as my major because I really enjoyed math and Science going through school and I also enjoy problem solving and doing things with my hands kind of making things and I chose the University of Hawaii at Manila because of their engineering program. In my senior year of high school in the spring I took a tour of the College of Engineering because there was an open house for it. So during the open house I got to hear from a student panel, there are some presentations from faculty and I also got to take a tour of the different labs that they had at the college and all of that combined helped me to see the type of resources that the college had and also it gave me a feel for the environment and the teachers in the faculty and just the campus itself that was really beneficial to me and I saw that the College of Engineering had good resources and that if I did go there I would get a good education and have a lot of opportunities for internships, different projects, different classes, good lab, stuff like that.
