As for my major, I think the Department of Education has done such a great job of making sure that we are prepared for the field and for a major. So for my specific major I am early childhood education. So pre kindergarten to grade five is the new major that we have here. D my time here, I will have about 600 hours working in a school classroom. So they really make sure that teaching is meant for you and they throw you in that classroom and really make sure that teaching is your vocation and what you're meant to do. I can confidently say that through my time here at UT I have discovered that education is my vocation and what I am truly put on this earth to do because of the classes I have taken here at UT my professors truly care about my academic success and have a personal interest in my growth, our average class size here at U. D. S about 26 students. So maybe what some people are used to in high school. Um but the connections that you make in those small class sizes are so beneficial. A lot of the professors here and the Department of Education have been retired teachers or maybe they were like in the administration or principle. So they have that experience in a school district in a classroom, in an academic setting. So they also have that personal insight to give us those perspectives as prospective educators in the future.
