Hi everyone, my name is Anna and I'm a senior here at the University of Dayton. I am currently studying early childhood education and I'm originally from the northern Kentucky area. I chose the University of Dayton genuinely just because of the way that people treated each other here. I remember the first time I stepped on the campus walking into the admissions building and I was just met with a sense of warmth and kindness that I just really wasn't expecting when I stepped onto a college campus, just especially when everybody is so into their own business and just bring about themselves and in college, everybody has a million and one things they need to do. So having somebody step out of their way, just take the time to make sure that me, even a person who wasn't even a student there yet actually enrolled in the campus. I felt welcomed and felt like I was accepted and had a home and my mom and I, we were looking at a campus map, we were completely lost one time at the campus. So hard to get lost, but still the first day there and I remember somebody coming up to us and just being like, oh do you need us to personally walking? They're like, oh do you want me to show you I'm heading there to class right now, I can just go with you. I was like, you don't even know me and you're just taking that time on your day to do that. Even the parking services, like the first time you see somebody was just an unreal experience. So I just think it's amazing that those values of community and family spirit and just going out of the way to make sure everyone feels like they are. Somebody that matters on campus was just immediately why I fell in love with it. Um and now four years later and I just really don't want to leave. I wish I could stay for so much longer, but I been the best decision I've ever made in my life to come here.
