The following is an computer-generated summary of the video transcript.
So when I came to U. C. A. Two of my main calls were to graduate debt free and to graduate with a job. So the first thing I want to talk about his graduating debt free. I grew up in South Florida, so I was able to get in state tuition and then I hide for a prepaid coming in. Then I was also eligible for Florida bright futures. So if one of your goal is to graduate debt free, I highly recommend looking at it in state tuition. A lot of times, people give it a bad rep and say, Oh, but out of state education so much better. I want to experience something new, but you can always move after graduation, and it's a lot easier to move when you're not crippled by debt. So if you're living in the state of Florida, Tyler, come on, University of Central Florida, and then I constantly applied for scholarships, so a lot of people think scholarships are heavy work and your chances are low and your chances can be low, but you just have to apply to the right scholarships. So I highly discouraged you from flying to national scholarships. Unless you're cream of the crop and you're a student, I could get into all the Ivy's. Just because the pool is so competitive, the larger your pool is. So a national scholarship is a lot more competitive than a local scholarship. So while you're in high school, I highly recommend applying to local scholarships. Look at what your high schools offering, and when you get to college, look at scholarships that your colleges offering your see that you're living in now is offering closure. That you're counties offering Starship that the clubs were involved in are offering because applicant pool is a lot smaller, so it's easier to be more competitive. The second thing I wanna talk about is getting a job before you graduate. So if your pre health he doesn't necessarily apply to you, but good luck on your M cat's pee cats, all your fresh Nall exams. If you're like me, I studied marketing, so I had a business degree and an MBA is usually more valuable after you get some work experience. So I'm looking at going back to get my MBA in about two to three years. I highly recommend utilizing career services at your school. Or if you're coming to UCF at UCF because they're connected with employers within the College of Business, a. UCF. We also have employer relations. So it's another Courier Services team, but strictly for college of business. They were a great help, especially when it came to looking at different offers and figuring out what direction I wanted to move in. So I'm really excited with the job that I signed for. We're now in April, and I'LL be starting in June in an associate development program in St Pete. So I'm moving two hours west that I'm really excited and I got the job because I did practice interviews, so I felt very comfortable. During my interview, I held various jobs, an internship. So right now I did an internship in digital marketing, and I worked at the company part time, and that gave me a lot of great experience and talk about during my interview. I made sure to prioritize school, so I had a strong transcript going in. I also was involved in two clubs and help to leadership positions during my three years at UCF, and that was something that I was able to talk about as well. So to help you get a job, utilized crew services get involved and take mock interviews, work on your resume start to resume early.
