My name is Spring, and today I'm gonna be talking about academic experiences. So I was currently a student at United Trips Technical College. I did graduate this December, and now it's the new year. So the subject that I was pursuing while I was attending the United Trip second college was business administration. I was going for my associates degree, which was a very enjoyable experience. The classes were delivered this fall last so not this fall. Until in 2020 I was going mainly online classes. I stayed home and did my assignments and attended classes at home on my computer. The online classes wasn't really that big of a deal for me. So despite the fact that I really did not like the idea of online classes, I had the discipline to push through and finish them anyway because I knew that I had one semester to go and I was like, I got this. I know you hate doing online classes, but you got this one more. Some of the strategies that I found helpful was that I would work ahead most times in my class. My teachers didn't know, but I had a lot of free time on my hands. I do have a part time job and did when I was attending school, but I had a lot of days off. So on those days off, I was sometimes read a chapter ahead and work ahead. And that, I would say, has been really helpful. I also wrote a lot of notes, which did help me retain information. Since I had a hard time like taking in information, re reading and making sure that I was writing notes and that I knew what was being talked about related help, I kind of did struggle with it. It's just determination, hard determination. You have to be determined and you have toe have discipline Most importantly, you can't be sleeping during class. I'm a big procrastinator myself, but hard work with dedication and discipline. I was able to pull through, get my homework done on time, be able to read a trap. The business program I did only have three teachers. They were my main three professors and I honestly saw them all throughout my entire career. United tribes, they all have been really impactful and helpful. They really were the best and the greatest and the funniest. Francine was, in my opinion, to be the most impactful. She waas an elder, so I did respect her and she respected for us. She she was knowledgeable in the field of study that I wanted to major in. I took in the stories and the advice that she gave and she really impacted me a lot. Since those three were my main teachers, I learned accounting principles and management marketing. Um, let's see here there was so much human resource is travel government. We also have to take tribal governments since I was attending tribal college, I mean, my associates degree of business administration which waas really, really big accomplishment of mind. I would say I didn't graduate and I'm so thankful. Grateful toe being Thio have experienced everything that I did. Not only that, but to be able to move on and for my career. Well, I have already applied for another school, So I'm gonna be earning my bachelor's degree at North Dakota State University, which is in Fargo. I'm really thankful that I not only attended thing tribal school first because if I little tiny me in 2019 was to go straight from graduating high school to North Dakota State University, e went toe been good, I probably would have moved back home the second I went there because I wasn't prepared at all. I was able to do so much at the school, not only in terms of my career, but going to school here allowed me to become independent. I'm so grateful that I got my degree and I chose to go to school here before I went up into the next field of my career. I'm really thankful that I chose to go to school here before I went anywhere else.
