So right here we have ah, life size statue of Jumbo. Uh, so Jumbo is our school mascot, and there's actually kind of a cool story behind shampoo. So back in the day, one of our biggest owners to toughs was PT Barnum. So he was one of the What's it called? One of the trustees of the college. Aside from donating, uh, just money, he also donated the taxidermy skin of Ah, off one of his biggest elephants, named Jumbo, who was sensation across the whole country. So the cool thing about Jumbo was he was such an animal celebrity that all are things that are named Jumbo, are named for him like jumbo shrimp, for example. So the way that Jumbo died, apparently the story goes that another elephant was, uh, sitting on the train track because the circus was a train based circuits. So another elephant was sitting on the train track when a runaway train came, and then jumbo pushed away the other elephants taking the blow for himself s So that's how the story goes. So the thing about jumbo skin was toughs had the whole skin for a while, and it was housed in the building, Doc here, Barnum Hole. After a while, Barnum Hole burned down one day, and so most of the skin was burned and wait. Uh, another interesting thing is it was a tradition among cough students, too. So after a while, they would have to send the tail for repairs all the time. So we still have the elephant's tail because it was sent for repairs. So I guess it was it really was good luck in the end. And so now the tail is actually housed in special storage at the basement. If you go during orientation, they actually bringing it out for a while. Also this building before it was burned down and rebuilt. So back there used to be one of the original buildings on campus, and so also you the building today.
