Yeah. Hey guys and good morning, it's Cat. And today is my first day of classes at my second year at the Bush school. Now I wanted to take you through a day in the life of me, a Bush school student. So first things first I'm wearing my pajamas so I need to get dressed for the Bush school. We have an unofficial uniform of being business casual, so I will show you what types of outfits will work for that. Um so let's get started. Okay, so now we're ready. I'm just wearing a green dress and a black blazer. Very simple. It's nice and easy for women when it comes to business casual, business professional. Now I will say I will not be wearing this blazer outside because it is august in texas, but I will put it on once I enter the building to a little bit more professional. So now the next thing that I'm going to do is treat myself and I'm going to go to Dunkin donuts, get myself a large iced coffee. So I'm ready to take on the day. So come on! Okay, so we are now in line at Dunkin. This Dunkin is wildly busy there out of pumpkin today, which is fine. I just got caramel instead. But as you guys know, I'm originally from Connecticut, so Dunkin is in my blood and I just need it so really excited. We're getting a large caramel, ice coffee and everything bagel got to start the day off right because you know america runs on Dunkin. So here we go. Okay, so now we have our Dunkin and we've eaten our bagel, we now have a couple of minutes before we have to go to our board meeting. So I am a Bush board fellow which means that I get to serve on a board of a nonprofit in the Bryan, College Station area. And we have meetings every month and today's ours. I'll show you a little bit about that in just a little bit. It's board meeting time, luckily we've been meeting via zoom because of the pandemic. So I haven't had to go anywhere which is pretty nice timing wise. So here we go. What is the meaning? Yeah, get on in. Okay, so the board meeting just finished. It was really interesting because the end of the fiscal year is coming up um if not tomorrow. So it was really interesting to go over all of the budgeting information and expense reports and stuff like that. I learned quite a bit and now that that is over, I'm on my way to my first class, I'll take you with me but it's going to be state and local government with dr Bowman who is absolutely brilliant. I'm actually her research assistant for the year. So I'm really excited to get to learn more from her in a classroom setting. So come on let's drive to main campus last minute, we get to the classroom, what is great about grad school is it's not really syllabus week this week we dive right in. Um and this class is more of a seminar class and we went over the syllabus. Um Here you have it. There are only three assignments for the entire semester, three assignments which means that each of them are really important. But it's also awesome because it's more of a real world scenario. You know you don't have these massive assignments um all the time it's really just you know a couple you work with people you talk and again it's more of a real world type situation. So after that I'm just gonna I drove home uh here I am at home and I don't have class today because in grad school you only have class once a week which is really great. So today I'm working on stuff um for my graduate research assistantship position, I'm doing lots of trainings and yeah that's basically what I got going on. I have another class tomorrow and then my capstone class on friday. And then my first weekend which is really exciting. So there you go. That was a day in my life of a grad student at the Bush school. I hope you enjoyed it And let me know if you wanna see another day, another class or just what else you'd like to see in general.
