The following is an computer-generated summary of the video transcript.
I am a philosophy major here at texas state University. I am also freshman, so being that I am required to live on campus this year. So I'm just going to be showing you a little bit of my residential hall in my room. My favorite things about living laurel is the community here. I think because everyone else here is in the honors college, we have a similar experience in our freshman year. I know we've played Mario kart in the lobby before, so I think that's really fun to do with our friends and then there's actually a swing in front of our porch in our residential hall that I really enjoy studying it. We actually have a vending machine in our hall that I go to pretty frequently and I really just love the aspect of Arthur controls that were able to actually express ourselves really openly. So I think it's a religious creative spaces for students. So I really love residential life here at texas state. Lastly I'll mention one of my favorite things that I learned here at laurel. My hallway was actually very spirited and it's actually allowed to decorate your doors in the hallway. High read like so I know we became spirited with the holidays. For example for Halloween, you did a really spooky vibe inner hallway. Then for christmas there is just like the little lights around. A little llamas hung in front of my door because laura was actually the laurel LAMAs that's her little mascot, sat down. It was really cute to actually hang up llamas in front of my door and then my roommate and I actually made an agreement to paint and do artwork and hanging up on the door. So I think it's really cool that we can actually express our artwork on our doors and decorate the hallways how we'd like to feel more homey for sure. I thought it was pretty cool because one girl had a room next to the bulletin board and she actually took the opportunity to make really cute events every now and then. So she put up a QR code and she just said send me a picture of your pet and I'll print it out and posted on the board. So for weeks my dog, I could see him every time I went to class and I thought it was just the cutest thing because it brought me so much joy just to see our pets up there all the whole way, definitely just missing their pets at home. Having them here, I thought it was a really cute piece to have from home. I'll be showing you some of my room and how I've chosen to decorate it. I'll show you some of my door in the hallway and things like that that I've captured in the past two semesters here. Mm. But finishing up this here is a little hole like I mentioned before, the honest living learning community to advocate them for a little because I am a living learning community kid. So if you qualify for one, I definitely recommend checking it out. Regardless of where you live, you'll have a blast. So it's definitely a great opportunity just to live here on campus.
