Why Susquehanna Is the Right Fit for Me with Julia
The following is an computer-generated summary of the video transcript.
Hi, my name is Tyler and this is my name is Julia and we both go to Susquehanna University. I'm a double major in both vocal performance and theater performance and I'm a senior music education major and my primary instrument is the trumpet. Big first question, why did you choose Susquehanna as your college? I visited Susquehanna's campus and I absolutely fell in love with it. It was one of the most beautiful campuses I'd ever seen. The faculty were all super nice and supportive and I could see myself living here and growing here, which I definitely did. What would you say the vibe is of campus, we are supportive and caring, can care about each other and we support each other because we're all going through the same thing and I feel like I don't have to be alone if I see something that I don't like, I can talk to somebody about it. That's definitely something I appreciate about it too. What has your personal workload been like over the past three years now? So with my major, my course load has always been pretty heavy, I would say it's on the heavier side of other majors it's always been manageable, you know, it's built for students who are built for the field and I think that through s you, I've learned that I am built for the field, what would you say define Susquehanna and makes it different from other schools and when I think of the school, I think of family, you know, with the relationships that I've built with, my peers around me, with my faculty, my professors, my relation to the field and the department. I feel like I have a family and I don't think that's something that you can get everywhere. I think it's really nice to be able to say that I have a family. What is some advice that you would give to your first yourself now that you're going into your senior year too? I would tell my first to yourself. Take a really, really, really deep breath because college is a lot, but it's not impossible. It's not something you have to do alone and you don't need to be perfect once you find where you fit, how you roll and what works best for you. Thanks so much for joining us for this little interview.
