I double major in both vocal performance and theater performance and today is a special day on our campus and that's because our first year students are moving in an orientation starting. I'm actually part of our universities moving day ban this year. So we spent all day yesterday rehearsing and not today. We're gonna go around to the different first year residents halls to play some tunes while the first years get moved into their rooms. So I'll be bringing you with me and let's go. What's your favorite part of the movement day? My favorite part about moving day is being able to get together with the band and play in front of all the holes. Well, first you then who orientation has always been one of my favorite things about Susquehanna. We do have the orientation team or we call them the o team who move in literally everything for the first year students into their rooms. You just pull up to your first year residents hall and everything's moved in and like five minutes. We also do tons of fun events during orientation. We have an event called Play fair that they do where it's great to meet some new people, create some new friendships. They do the extreme of rock paper scissors there among the entire first year class. So you're always lucky if you can say you want that. Aside from that, they also do other fun events like s you give where we have the entire first year class go out into surrounding communities and organizations do service projects for like 2 to 3 hours. So it's always super cool to go somewhere with a smaller group and see what a big difference you can make in such a short span of time, but then also come back to campus and see what everyone else did for their projects and see what a huge difference your entire class could make in just such a short span of time and it's just a very exhausting weekend, but in the most perfect way. It's always been one of my favorite things about here.
