Hi, my name is Bella Santiago respond when I was applying to Susquehanna. Um and once I got accepted I was looking at majors that I wanted to pursue in college and I knew I was interested in law and some sort of profession within the legal field. I didn't know if I wanted to do law school or not and a lot of attorneys advised me to go the route of history or english or political science, but I wasn't sure that I wanted to do any of those. The summer before I came to Susquehanna, they actually implemented illegal studies major. So I was like that's perfect, that's exactly what I want to do because it's not just political science or just policy, it is interdisciplinary and it incorporates sociology, political science, policy, anthropology, all these different areas. So I was like this is perfect for me, so that's why you can Susquehanna declared illegal studies major. My involvement with legal studies, I actually ended up being the first legal studies major here in Susquehanna. Also within the major is every legal studies major gets a paid internship, Food Arlen Adams Center, so that's a really cool opportunity that you get through this major. So it's really easy to also double major and double minor because like a bunch of the bus overlap so it's super easy for you to be a legal studies major and then a political science major because a lot of the political science requirements are within the major, I definitely think Susquehanna's a great school to explore to us because we are liberal arts and there is a bunch of different classes that you can take that can relate to law or not even relate to law. We also have a pre law society here at Susquehanna that helps you explore. That helps you explore different areas of law, um, else at that kind of stuff that will help you to explore whether or not you want to go to law school.
