Hi, I'm kelly lambert, I'm a junior at Susquehanna University. I'm a double major in environmental studies and creative writing and I'm here to just tell you a little bit about things I love about the school and why I chose to apply here when I was in high school. The first thing that struck me about the school was the sense of community. Um, when I first went on the tour here, all of the tour guides were like saying hello to other students and the other students knew their names when I came here. My high school was actually bigger than that's Rihanna. So I wasn't really used to that close knit community field that this school has, but it's definitely true that everyone is kind here, The culture is very much about community and the community is really important. So I felt comfortable coming here knowing that as someone who was a, a little afraid to go in college, I knew that there would be a community here for me that would have my back and that's definitely turned out to be true for my first impression of the school as well. So your professors will know your name, You don't know people in your classes are classes are fairly small. So I was really concerned at first um initially thinking about going to college just in terms of, am I going to be in like a huge lecture hall with all these people. I don't know, I never get to see the professor and like the whole image is just really intimidating. Um, Professor will know your first name and you'll know people in your classes, you get to know them. Um, so if you're someone who likes to be able to talk to the professor about things, meet with a mom one or just ask a lot of questions in class, you have an opportunity to do that. All the professors are really great about making relationships with their students. You know, just making connections in class and answering questions whenever they can. Most professors are really great about being able to meet with you during their office hours or just find a time that they can help you with whatever you need. Another thing I love about this school is just the level of involvement with students, um, in different clubs and organizations on campus. I'm in harmonic combustion, which is our coed a cappella group. So much fun to get to sing twice a week with my friends in high school. I was inquired, but not a music major now, so I really like that. I get to continue my love for music in a really fun setting.
