I'm a senior in the business school here at Susquehanna and I'm going to talk about my study abroad trip to Singapore. So for my go program I chose to go along to Singapore. I sitting at Singapore Management University, which is right in central Singapore in the downtown business system. Um All of my roommates I actually met online beforehand. We were from five different countries, six different countries of the company. So that was a really cool time to get to meet people from all over the world and live with them for a semester. It was a really cool experience um in terms of getting to learn more about business from the perspective of another culture. Uh A lot of the work was focused more on Southeast Asia. Obviously then it would be in the U. S. So that was a great way to develop my understanding of certain demographic and business trends within the region. I also got the opportunity to study some really interesting sustainability development initiatives, which is my personal pet passion. Uh my minor is an environmental studies, so I loved having the opportunity to combine that with my major in the business school for a semester or two. So overall I had a really phenomenal experience in Singapore. I also got to visit Malaysia and Thailand while I was there and I can't recommend go long enough, I had such a good time and it was such an incredible addition to my Sicilian experience for me. I as soon as I heard about the opportunity to go long, I was like all in. Um, but I know for a lot of people that might not be like your first impression of the program, I can seem really intimidating to go fly to another country. Uh, and you know, live with people you've never met before. So I think something really important to think about is that, you know, just like how do you come to college and you make friends in the first week? Just like the people living around you and the people here in your process with, that's how it works when you go abroad to. It's honestly even easier doing something like, oh, where are you from? Like what brought you here? Um, tell me that the cool story about a place to come and everyone has a ton of questions. So it was really easy to kind of make friends from literally all over the world that I still stay in touch with today. I think the other thing to do is make sure you really plan ahead. I started getting ready for my go program because I knew I was gonna go by myself through here. Uh, which definitely don't need to get ready that early. I was like super on the ball because I was super excited about it. I think being prepared and understanding what you're going to go into will really help you feel more for that file.
