Getting Involved Through Student Clubs at Stevens Institute with Abigail
The following is an computer-generated summary of the video transcript.
I want to talk about some of the awesome clubs that I'm participating in on campus right now, I am part of the rock recreational rock climbing club, I'm the team manager for that. So I'll occasionally lead trips to our local gravity ball to do indoor rock climbing and I'll also go and do exclusions in new york city. It's a great way to keep active because I know as a college student it's hard to get in the rhythm, it's hard to go outside and run. Another club I'm actively participating in is actually the creative writing club on steven's. Every week I will create a series of writing problems for people to respond to and I'll personally respond to this promise as well and then we will go around and sharing the interesting ideas that we came up with. It looks very good to employees because I know as engineers or related fields that were thought of as like math science people and people think that we really, really aren't able to write an essay, but in this club we can prove the opposite, you know, or we can hone our skills and creative writing club joining these clubs has really helped me make friends as well. There is a club for everybody and you'll really find your people there, you'll find people who are interested in the same things you are. I really enjoy being active and also working on my academic achievements at the same time and these clubs offer me those positions.
