I'm from West Haven Connecticut and I'm a junior here at Springfield College in the occupational therapy program and I'm mina ring in rehab and disability studies. I'm involved with student ambassadors, new student orientation. I chose Springfield College because of its warm atmosphere and it's valued traditions as well as the strength of the O. T. Program and the hands on experience that I would be getting compared to other schools. Um I'd be able to get out in the field a lot faster than other places that I was looking into and I was really enthusiastic about that and being able to kind of apply my knowledge in my early years to the field. Um Everyone says hello to each other, everyone holds the door for each other, they value those traditions um and hanging out with everybody the opportunities that we get. Um and anything that we're involved with, even if it's just sitting and studying and doing our own thing. The academic success center is a tutoring and um coaching staff that helps you with your academics at any time that you need tutors are recommended by a professor and they've got an a in the class that they're tutoring in so they know the material and they're on top of it. So you're not just coming to somebody who kind of knows the information, this person knows what they're talking about, it's not the end of the world if you don't have it all figured out in the beginning. So just walk through it slowly, gather those interests of yours and it'll all come together at the end of the day.
