Meet a Springfield College Student: Suraji Omoru chose Springfield College for the opportunity it offered him to engage with his community. He discusses how his experiences have prepared him for the real world, introduced him to invaluable friends, and have all been met with a level of positivity. Springfield College is an independent, nonprofit, coeducational institution founded in 1885. Approximately 4,100 students, including 2,500 full-time undergraduate students, study at its main campus in Springfield, Mass., and at its regional campuses across the country. Natural spring for college not only because it's in my backyard, but also because I felt like I want to reach out to the community and engaged and bring them together. Like I felt like this college is a perfect job doing that. When people walk towards you that sometimes will immediately pick up the phone toe, act like they're doing things here, they don't do that. People looking in your eye and they'll say, Hello there, hold the door for you. If you're 30 feet away, they will do everything in their power to interact if you make sure you have a positive experience, one of the things that I love is the fact that this college has helping with real world applications, so that when I leave, I know how to do things like taxes finally found my finances and just also be like a wall around the person and also know how to tackle life. For me, that's the most important thing because most people leave colleges and don't know how to do things. This college prepares, you do everything and gives you the positivity, along with another thing I love on this camp. This is also the friendships that I've made because these friendships to reach out, you reach out to you and push you to do better. I have a friend who calls me every morning at 9 30 to go to breakfast, and I also have a friend who caused me at 5 p.m. Every night to go study in the library. So I was so afraid that caused me at 3 30 every day to go study in the union. You want a school that cares about you and won't always put the positivity towards you as a person. For me, it's about progress in that perfection. They work with you every single step of the way. No matter what step you're at, no matter what door you're coming out of their open and one for you, and that for me is what made me to speak for college.
