So definitely keeping an active style is really important at Springfield College, and there's plenty ways to do so. If you don't want to be involved in a varsity d three athletic team, um, there's ways to get involved in your coursework in your extra time. So you're definitely strongly encouraged to kind of get out there, stay active, try something new, keep your body moving and it's super fun to do all those things. The wellness facilities are definitely a hot spot on campus, so our student athletes have their own weight room with scheduled lift sessions with strength and conditioning. The Wellness center is for the rest of the students or student athletes that they're not in their own weight session. So the Wellness Center is open six in the morning to 10 at night. There's a bunch of work study opportunities in there, so you can work at the gym if you'd like. It will definitely be replaced at least once while you're here at Springfield, so it's safe. Because you don't need any level like experience to kind of come and use the gym. Way also have a rock wall in our gym and at the rock wall. We have certified the layers coming to work, and we have all our own equipment, ropes, shoes, harnesses. So you don't need any level of experience or knowledge to coming climb. That's a really great new kind of exercise to do. Also our Outings Club doesn't outdoor rock climbing trips. You can come and practice on the wall before going on your outdoor climbing trip. Especially with the Berkshires, right to our West Outings Club really got students actively involved in getting outside in the adore outdoors. Whether you're experienced, avid outdoorsman or you just want to try something new, there's plenty of opportunity to do that. I personally ran cross country my freshman year here, Um, and it was an incredible experience. I think this is the best place to be a D three athletes, and I think it kind of all goes back to our human X possibly and our triangle all about balancing your spirit, mind and body and keeping that balance lifestyle. We know that our athletes are students first, so all of our coaches are also professors. They teach classes here on campus, and we also host mandatory study sessions. Forest athletes to get together and study do the work. I think it's really great that our coaches understand the balance between athletics and student life, and they really encourage your students to get involved in all other areas of campus life here. So I think there's a really great connection between our suit athletes on the rest of our student body, and that just makes our student body want to go out and support them out of any of their athletica buns, too. So it's a really, really great atmosphere community involved in within our own curriculum way have a great emphasis on athletics and wellness and keeping up a active lifestyle. So we do that by incorporating P A C courses into our credit. So p a C R Sprinkle called specific they're like Jim credit courses. They could be a bunch of traditional sports, like soccer or tennis or volleyball, or they can really be geared towards your own interests. So we have rock climbing, high G, self defense, yoga, um, to cross country skiing and snowshoeing my freshman year, So really, anything that you want.
