This is actually my roommate, who I met freshman year. You can either meet roommates through the Social Media page. It's just a Facebook page for Freshman, or you can go in random as well. It's more of a sophomore dorm, but also upperclassmen living it, too. This building is called Lakeside because it's your Lake Massasoit on This is a freshman dorm, but it can also be a sophomore dorm, depending on class size. It is a freshman dorm those of Gula call is that it? It does have a C. Cons is It's a little tiny. Supposedly, you can hold your roommates hand when you're both lying in bed. So a little bit about dorm life here at Springfield. Most freshman's have a double, which means you will be sharing a room with your roommate and you will each get your own bed. You'll each get a set of wooden dressers, kind of like that that you can, either. Most people kind of put them under the bed because the beds you have bed risers or you can leave it out. Even bring a fridge or microwave so you can't bring gulf because the outlet system here, if you plug both in, it's just gonna be too much power usage from the outlets. If you don't wanna bring just one fridge and you also want a microwave, then you can rent from the school a micro fridge and usually roommates like share the cost of that, and they just have that in their room for them. Laundry laundry is usually in the basement, and you don't need any coins, which is super nice. It's part of the tuition, and you usually can bring your laundry down. The nice thing at Springfield College is we have a tracker, so a laundry tracker, and basically you don't have to climb down a bunch of stairs to see Oh, no, all the all the washers are full, so you can check on the website before you go down. So that's a really helpful thing that we have here. Freshman obviously have a meal plan, but if you do like cooking or you wanna make some cookies or something for your floor, you could go downstairs and there's usually a kitchen in each door. So basically what in our is is if you have any roommate issues If you have anything that's broken in your room, you can talk to them and they're just there to help you, um, get used to the college experience. If we have any questions about anything, they are usually pretty knowledgeable. They also hold events for each up for before that they are living on with you and they know my art. A did like edible cookie dough or different things that we made together as a floor. Or they also do things that are more like teaching us things. So she did it like an adult ing class where we learn toe, change a tire and do things like that. Actually, the floors were divided into boys and girls, so boys will be on one side. The girls will be on the other side and the bathrooms are usually in the middle so the boys bathroom will be closer to the boys side in the girls bathroom will be closer to the girls side. There are showers, obviously toilet things like that in there for you guys to use in their claims every day, so it's really nice. Then the aria is usually in the middle, and for most freshmen dorms, they have a common room in the middle to. So if you wanna hang out and chill with your floor, you could just hang out in the common room. Person, I would say, for dorms for any incoming freshman is toe. If you just leave your door open, anyone walking by can stop in and say hi and just have a conversation with you And that's how you make your best friends Co. But sadly, I cannot show you a freshman dorm, but I can show you our dorm visit it. My roommate and I are in Alumni Hall, so she has her own room and I have my own room and we're living in conjoined ing singles. Well, what we did with it was we put it where both the desks are in one room and then in the other room way have both our beds. So it worked out perfectly because now we're still roommates.
