I'm a senior here at ST Michael's College, and I'm actually from Hingham, Massachusetts. You'll find a lot of people are from the South Shore, but don't I were a good time. I study media studies journalism in digital arts on I also have a minor in studio art. She's my little pop and save Mice is actually really helpful when it comes to have emotional support animals. Do I go for a walk? Do you wanna come with this? So I live in the threes. Hundreds, which is a town, has area, which is primarily seniors and juniors. River loves it also, so going to a liberal arts school has taught me a lot about having options in terms of my college experience. So I not only took classes for my major, but I was able to take classes for a variety of majors to see what I was interested in, because although I might be going to school for a media and journalism and art, that doesn't mean that in the work world I'll just be doing that like I wanna be well rounded and I feel like with a liberal arts education, that's something you could get. Ironically, behind my house, which is right over there way have the Gilbert natural area, which is this really nice trail. I don't know how long it is specifically, but definitely if you've run around here are a few times You will get tired Pretty nice if you're beginning your mountain biking experience, which I have, uh, they have some pretty easy trails to practice on, and I feel pretty confident now, but definitely coming here helps. I don't know if you could tell, but this is not a dorm room way. Do not have dark blue walls as much as I would like this to. We wanted to tell you more about ST Mikes and why we chose to come here. So I went Thio campus tour before making my decision. Remember, it was in August, so it was nice out my mom took me to my tour Way had a really good time. Which Church Street after which is this lovely strip that was just full of shops and food and local businesses. There's new gifts, go through UVM sometimes and go down. Then when you look up straight ahead, you could see the Lake Champlain beautiful mountains of New York so pretty you could really see New York across the like. The way that the sun fell in the mountains and just the lake and everything my mom was like, That's what I knew. You're going to go to ST Mike's just such a euphoric experience. I was actually really nervous making this decision because I had originally wanted a really big campus with all sorts of majors and maybe even a specialized campus for art and photography and journalism. I also wanted a school that wasn't religious, and I am at a very small liberal arts college in Vermont. That's kind of like I honestly appreciate what I got. I think that's definitely something else I've learned is going to something with an open mind. You can Obviously, expectations are given your again. No matter what, but try to really keep yourself in an open space because life's gonna throw things at you that you didn't expect and they're gonna turnout very different. That I still go by when it comes to making decisions is what feels right seem like just felt right. I definitely think you should go with your feeling. If there is a decision that you're trying to make, especially college and you don't know whether or not Thio do other people want you dio or to do what you dio, you should definitely do what you do, because I'm glad I did. I don't think I would have had the same experience if I went to school in Boston. Remember when I said I'm going to ST Mikes for the first time? The feeling of just relief and happiness just overcame me, and I was like, Yeah, I made their decision on here. I am now for your letter E. Hope you enjoy this episode. There should be more in the future when I'm back on campus.
