Living Options on Campus
The following is an computer-generated summary of the video transcript.
Hi, everyone in this video, I'm going to show you what a senior living options looks like at ST Mix. I currently live in a town house, so that's one of our living options. So what that means is that pretty much all of our students live on campus for all four years. So one thing that's really nice is that each year you're at ST Mike's, your housing improves and gets a little bit nicer. Eso Let's take a look at my time, so welcome to my townhouse. On the first floor, there's a dining room, as you can see here, right next to the window, which is a great spot to do homework. You can pretty much make your townhouse however you want. We have a tapestry hanging off to the side of our living room. We have their kitchen, so we do make all of our meals ourselves a senior. So pretty much the money we would spend on our meal plan we spend for groceries instead. So here's one more overlook of what our first floor looks like, as you can see that doorway to the right where the lights are hanging around. Just so you know, it's where my roommate, Emily lives. A really nice thing about the townhouses is that you get prime parking, so right behind your house you have parking parking. For seniors, it's $100 for main campus, which is pretty awesome. This is a six person townhouse, but me and my roommates looked out. This year, there's actually only three of us living in the 6% townhouse. So as you can see this first bedroom on the right as you go upstairs, we turned into a little gym area. A couple waits, and that's what we use this space for, since there's no one living in it. Right next to our little gym room is my bedroom, so there's two bedrooms on one side of the bathroom and two bedrooms on the other, So this is my room. As you can see, it's a good amount of space for a single bedroom, so I it's all my bedroom. I don't share with anyone else, so you can really decorate it, however you want. Another big pro to these townhouse areas is the closet. As you can see, it comes with all these built in shelves. My shelves look a little bear because I was packing to go home for Thanksgiving. Don't worry, I have a lot more close E. Next you'll see the upstairs bathroom. So normally you would share this with three other people. So if one person is brushing their teeth, someone can still use the bathroom or the showers. Well, so it's nice, and there's a little door separating the two areas. E. So I hope this video gave you a good insight to what a senior living options might look like on campus. There's a bunch of different options as well. As a first year student you'll usually live in a typical double. We don't have any triples on campus, and you would just live on a floor with people of the same gender share communal bathroom. When you become a sophomore, you can either continue to live in a double bedroom, or you can choose to live in a suite style. So I lived in one of the suites, which was with eight of my friends. There was eight of us, and we each had our own bedroom. We had our own common space living room area to share, and we had to bathroom. So it was pretty much like four girls to a bathroom, and I love that set up. There was a small kitchen on the floor, so if you ever wanted to, you know, big cookies or do something small you could share with the other people on your floor. Then as a junior, I lived in an apartment style building, so that was the first time I had my own personal kitchen. We had our full kitchen, a living room, one bathroom with a toilet in one bathroom with a shower, and you saw what our senior living option looks like on campus so you can definitely visit our website and you can see what some of those look like get tours of different style housings. I hope this video helped you learn a little bit more about housing at ST Mike's.
