What are Learning Communities??

A lot of you might be thinking, what the heck is this ? Do i want you and especially your looking at slough and you're thinking about a learning community might be like, do i really want to do this or not ? I am not in the learning community, and i don't regret that. I am going to be in a learning communion next semester. I say it depends on the person being in a learning community gets you a guaranteed in into a dorm. For the most part, i know that we have a business one and engineering one diversity and global citizenship honors. We have the micro one, which is a christian religious organization. We have, ah, lot of other ones, i think in spring is well, i'm not hundreds. Sure you can look all of these up on this luce website, but basically these are communities where you live with these people on the same floor. You attend some of the same classes with thes people. Reiner, there's two more medical based ones, and raynard just one included in if that's your major. Like i said, you attend classes with these people, not all of them. There's certain requirements that you have to meet its nothing crazy or strenuous or something that's unattainable. There are things that you have to do some requirements when you live in a learning community. All of the people that i know that our internet community lovett, they seem really close with their floor. I would definitely recommend it to first year students. I don't regret that i wasn't in one, but i do wish i would have done one just to meet more people and to be a little bit more closer with my floor, since i live in a floor of about one hundred people, and sometimes it'll be hard to know everybody. Learning communities are awesome opportunity to really just make great connections with people. I'm going to be living hopefully in the honors, learning to the next year, which i am super super excited about. Yes, i would totally recommend it, and it is something that i think you guys would really benefit from in the long run.
