I go to ST Ambrose and today we're going to talk about academics. My major is human performance and fitness and I'm also monitoring in psychology. I chose this major because I knew going into college that I wanted to pursue a career in occupational therapy. Saint Ambrose has a really good web page setup under occupational therapy on there website that lists a couple of majors that are typical for undergraduates when they want to pursue. Ot I chose human forms and fitness because I really like anatomy. I love learning about kinesiology and how the human body works. Which is something that you're going to need to know for occupational effect. So you may be wondering what is the workload like for that? So for a human performance and fitness major we workload is pretty intense. You're going to be learning about things like human anatomy, exercise physiology, biology, life span expectancies, personal training, strength and conditioning. So a lot of it is very science based but something to also consider is that I'm doing a three plus three program. So I have to fit in all of my classes in three years. So it's been a little stressful but not too stressful. You might also be wondering what are my classes like dancing? Gross. Um This is my first year that I've ever had a teacher's assistant. I would say most of your classes are not going to have teachers assistants and they're definitely not going to be teaching the class. Um The one that I've had is mainly X. Is just an assistant who's in the background of the class that helps set things up.
