Hi, I'm paige bailey and I'm a freshman here at Ambrose. I live in Bechtel Hall and I am a human performance and fitness major. Um planning to go on the pre occupational therapy route, hoping to star occupational therapy um Graduate school as a senior, I came to Ambrose because I wanted to go into occupational therapy and I also wanted to play tennis, so I wanted to do both at the same time and Ambrose is very accommodating for that. Ambrose stood out because of the occupational therapy program and it's a perfect distance from home, so I don't go back every weekend. Um but I can also go home if I need to and the campus is beautiful, it's a perfect size and it doesn't take too long to walk all the way across campus to get to some of my classes um and the size is awesome too. There's definitely a lot of familiar faces around campus. I chose occupational therapy because I wanted to help people and that is a great way to help people do things that they do in a day to day life. The atmosphere at Ambrose, there are definitely lots of athletes and most people I know play a sport here or they are involved in health related professions, so they want to be a nurse or a physical therapist or an occupational therapist because we have good programs here. All the leaves are changing and I love the faculty, they're all super nice. I haven't had a bad professor yet, they're all super outgoing and warm and welcoming. I love the options that they provide us with the O. T. Program. I can get admitted into the occupational therapy program if I complete 20 observation hours and if I maintain a good GPA as a freshman and then I'd be admitted until I start my senior year of graduate school classes. There are some additional requirements that you have to make throughout the next two years. Um, but you can get admitted as a freshman or you can get admitted as a junior and there are more steps to the process. I have met a lot of new people being involved in tennis or being involved through some clubs that I'm involved in and even through my classes and my professors.
