Hi, I'm Hannah Knowles and I'm a sophomore in the undergrad program here at ST Ambrose University. I'm double majoring in international studies and data science and analytics. My search process was probably pretty comparable to a lot of yours. I was pretty picky and there were a lot of things at the top of my list. I wasn't willing to compromise on some of those things at the very top of my list included affordability, good dorm options and lots of academic and extracurricular opportunities to create a sense of community that I was used to coming from a small high school before I even got to visit ST Ambrose campus. What I liked most was that there were a lot of different scholarship opportunities outside of just your standard academic or athletic scholarships. I don't play sports and I know that that's where a lot of people scholarships come from. So I was happy to see that there were also options for being involved in the different bands or arts in other ways and you could get scholarships to lower your tuition for those. Another thing that stood out to me was all of the academic options that we have here, I wasn't sure yet exactly what I wanted my major to be and so I really felt comfort in knowing that if I got here and changed my mind, I have lots of different options to choose from everyone I encountered on campus was very patient in answering my questions and offering anything else they found to be helpful and campus just already felt like home when we were walking around the beautiful trees and other wildlife on campus was really great to see. There's a really good mix of historic buildings and newer, updated buildings and that was really nice to see now that I'm at ST Ambrose and I've been here for almost a year and a half. The things that I searched for and loved in the first place are actually still my favorite things about campus today.
