Maria Presents the Academic Quad
Maria shows you the central quad area on Rice campus. All around the quad are various buildings with lecture halls and classrooms for Rice students. The quad is also where Rice's founder, William March Rice, is commemorated with the most famous statue on campus.

So I'm about to show you the main quad on campus. It definitely is the most scenic and iconic, uh, area in rice. It's the area that is, like, used for all the advertisements online and for brochures and posters and stuff like that. It is close, I think, to all of the other residential colleges. I think it definitely is a central kind of area where people can meet. Um, we have a statue of our founder, William Marsh Rice, which I'll show you in a little bit on, and it's very, very pretty. Himto walk by when I go to class because it's just beautiful and it's really green, and it just makes me really happy when I walked through it.
