An Overview of all the Dorms
The following is an computer-generated summary of the video transcript.
University Point is not the only option for people on campus. P s u has a bunch of different dorm options for you, some of which I didn't even know about. So if you're a freshman coming into campus, you're going to be part of the freshman experience, which means that you're going to be around a lot of other freshman. You're going to have freshman specific pricing for things. I apologized, but also you're going to most likely be in one of three dorms, the first of which is Eppler. Eppler is the honors dorms, More or less he can live there if you're not an honor student. That's where a lot of the honor student seemed to live because they want Teo really get them to know each other. It's all the way behind the science building, which, if you visit campus, you'LL see is a fairly long walk, but you're not really too far away from anything. I can only assume that means it's a little bit more expensive. So if you're going to be moving into on Dean, bring a lamp or two, you're going to need it. They're a little smaller, but they're also right above the cafeteria, so you don't have to go outside to get breakfast. Dean is not my favorite, but I have friends that have lived there for a while and really enjoy it. Perks of being in a dorm rather than being in my place is you have R ays who are there to make sure that people aren't too loud, which could be an issue when you have that many people living near you. Another thing about it is I've seen two different options for on Dean Bedrooms and others more than this. You have your typical shared bedroom, and then we have a suite, which is basically a bedroom, another bedroom to people in each bedroom, and then you share a kitchen and a bathroom. It's another one where you're going to be sharing a room this time, maybe with two people instead of just one. So I hope you like being your own people because actually a piece you in general, if you want to live on your own, you're going to spend a lot more unless you're like me and he live at University Point. This doesn't mean that he's going to be able to see what you're doing, but it means that sound travels a little well, so keep that in mind. I hope you really get used to your roommate, and you're okay with that because I think that's just kind of a fact of living there. Bluebell is more modern, and it's a good choice for graduate students who are wanting to live there. It's right off of campus behind the alumni house, and it is just a brick building that is covered in ivy, and it's really pretty. If you get any packages, no matter where you live on campus. If you get any big packages, you're going to pick them up there. So just good thing for you to know Montgomery is more community living. You live by yourself, but you have a shared kitchen and a shared bathroom, so keep that in mind. I almost lived there, but I didn't want to share the kitchen, cause I'm very defensive about food. I've got some good reviews for, um, it from other people. So it really depends on what you're willing to do when you living on campus. I've never been inside, but it's a really cool place. It's a little bit more of an upperclassman priority. Freshmen aren't really going to live there unless you fill out some paperwork, but you get an oven and a fridge, and the other thing is, it's good for people with children. Also it's good for people who want to have a cat therapy. If you're just wanting to own a cat and you don't have them as a therapy animal checkout, Blackstone they're cool for that. Then last one I'm going to talk about is Parkway Parkway is near Blackstone, but it's a little bit further. Lots of studios you have, Ah, private bathroom, but you don't have a shower, their community showers, and it seems to be more for people on the go. Is it a lot of friends that I have that lived there? They are hardly ever home. All of these dorms have all utilities included, including WiFi, so you don't have to worry about that. Sometimes it can get a little spotty, but it really depends on where you are. If you want any more info, check out the housing website. There's a lot of different implode graphics that lets you know the different floor plans, how much you're going to be paying for it, whether it's furnished or unfurnished.
