If you guys don't know, I'm a Bob behavioral health major. That's a we're gonna be talking about how to make friends college or at least like how you made friends and Collins before we start the video. I was like, Oh, we're gonna have, like, a floor dinner together, which they dio like Penn State of the beginning of everything we went to, like dinner together and like everybody kind of like separated, I guess if you like, hard to sit with people like to make new friends. Like I said, I was obviously with my roommate and we actually sat next to these two girls Step in Kristina, who are friends, and I met them first, so she pretty much made friends just by like sitting with people that she didn't know, starting a conversation. We weren't really sitting at a table with people, so it's a little more awkward to like make conversation. So I didn't make any friends that first day at dinner, and that's okay. I'll leave coldly state and some people are in it. Some people where I was one of the people who wasn't Alicia Body. So I obviously had to sit with people that I didn't know and I didn't have, like, my roommate there to talk to. I walked back up the stairs and I heard like, Oh, a lot of people like talking in the hallway. However anybody I really don't even think I introduced myself to people like that and then they, like, invited me into coming down on top of them. You came in the afternoon, and then that night her door was open and there was a bunch of people in our room. So me and Giovanni said that moral of that story was if you just like, put yourself out there and, like, throw yourself literally the first couple days, throw yourself into groups of people like you're going to start conversation, you're gonna find, like, similarities with people. Yeah, like that's how you make friends like I'm not even joking. You might have to do it like a couple separate times would do it like within the first week of college, because that's what everyone's trying to make friends. If you just do it with a bunch of random people like you're going to get good. So it's kind of how I got, like, introducing Let's get if you find the one person that you click with, chances are they have multiple people that they also click with so they could introduce you to their friends. That was how I made all my friends because I didn't end up making any friends in the ball. I didn't throw myself in any groups of people cause I already have any friends from the summer. So it wasn't super concerned about making friends, and I'm like Loki antisocial like, if I didn't have to make friends like I was a good try, some really rude, but like I already had friends. So I was like, I don't see any reason like throwing myself into different groups of people. The only friend I made in the fall was through a class, and she sat next down next to me and Shivani and our cattle class and I don't know, like she just I think she just said she was a biomedical engineer or they were like, when we are political. Like I still had someone to talk to about classes that someone to sit next to a classic, You know what I mean? Even though, like people might not be like the closest friends in the world, like just having like those people that like hard taking similar class says you're is really nice. If you could just, like, talk to the people next to you, ask them what their major is once again, just like that's a really good conversation starter. What's your major? And then, like Schumann is like biomedical engineering and, like three people down there like Oh, hey, my, my major, find here, too, you know? I mean, people will join in conversations so friends, so ask people with their major sport a backstory. So stuff and I were friends and stuff just randomly texted me like I think we knew each other for maybe a week. If you have you have one friend like, they're going to introduce you to people. Go go to everything that you can that's like groups, because once again, you're just gonna sit in extra, and people would be like, Hey, like, I have a person like, Who are you? Yeah, one through, like, half a semester already. Summer was definitely like our time to make friends. When I actually moved in, I met another friend in high school like I was like, I don't want to say I was super social, but I look like I had a good amount of friends or whatever. I wasn't, like, super worried about, like talking to people in my floor. It's just more of the story is like just talked to anyone and everyone like It doesn't matter if you click with them because people will grow into your life like people will definitely grow grow on you. I've had people who I didn't like at first, but I just kept talking to them. Yeah, it's just nice to like, feel people out more than like this. Like with people who live on your floor, like never, like, shut them out immediately, never like immediately dismissed. People like always get to know them first because I know like a couple of people have said about me that they didn't They didn't like me at first. I'm like, that's by, but they're like, Oh, now that I know you're like a good person whenever you Sometimes you could, like sometimes when you put yourself out there, you're not exactly who you truly are like. Don't don't somebody up first impressions, you know, like, don't do that. So that's how we as anti socials made friends in college experience social. You just need to have a social moment for, like, one week and then you make friends.
