So they super encourage you to be an extracurriculars. You're gonna be taking classes specifically for your major, but like math and English to make you just a more intelligent person over. So the social and work and academic balance here is something that you definitely have to learn. Um, and it's something that I've definitely grown in. Uh, freshman year, I wasn't working on campus, and now I'm working about eighteen hours every week, so you know, it's it's It seems like it's hard, but I mean, it's it's very different from high school. You go to school at like, seven, thirty year, whatever, and you get back at, you know, three issue. If you have sports and stuff like that, you do that. A lot of times you'll get to pick the times of your classes. You need to pick up your gun, you know, start your day off with a EMS, or if you want to do that later, I keep a very detailed planner, and that helps me. I'm in a lot of different things, like I have been involved with. Over UTV News, the Gospel choir, several different volunteer opportunities like age to age with visits, nursing homes every week, and The Sparrow Project, which teaches English to immigrants in Oklahoma City. So there's so many different things you want to join, and there's so many different groups and so many awesome people, and you can't do it all. That's something I've learned this past year's It's okay to say No, no freshman year, sophomore year. If you start saying no, you might have some phone fear of missing out, but you'll realise that it's probably better for your health to not stay out as late or it's, you know, it's better to slave. What of, um, killing yourself with such a busy schedule? And I think the most important thing when you are deciding how to balance your life, social life and your academic life is know your limits and prioritize what is the most important. So academics are going to be of the highest importance. You're here to grow as a and get ready for your career after school. Social life is a huge thing, and we definitely encourage that at Oklahoma about this university. So there's all kinds of clubs that you can join music groups, science club, all of that kind of stuff. You know, I would suggest trying out one or two that you've never thought about trying before because you never know what you'll like, but yeah, just definitely figure out what you want to prioritise and make that happen. You should definitely use a plainer, um and spend time with people that you might not normally spend time with in college. Have coffee with people that you from from different backgrounds and different perspectives. You'll learn a lot, and you'll just your widen your widen your world to you and widen theirs. You'll get to meet someone new, which is totally awesome. So take opportunities like that, but don't over kill yourself. As you grow in college, you learn like what your limits are. So taking time to rest and be by yourself is really importance.
