Right now I currently reside on campus in student housing with Northwest Indian College in Bellingham, Washington. Part of my educational journey was influenced by my outers, my old people and also being fluent. Cheyenne Speaker is part of the reason why I chose Northwest Indian College as the curriculum. The education on what you get from North West Indian College is centered around tribal sovereignty and play space education. It's really interesting because the college here offers so many great avenues in their bachelor programs in their associate, the undergrad portion of higher education. Currently there's online classes, so I've been taking those on. I'm finishing up this coming June with my native Studies leadership bachelor of arts degree as part of this initiative with the American Indian College Fund being a representative of Northwest Indian College, I'm also a student executive board member. I am the vice president of student activities and services. Paying for college doesn't have toe make you in debt. The federal loans are their scholarships are great avenue and great resource for indigenous communities. I'm actually fortunate enough to say I graduated completing my bachelors within four years and going on to my master's. My choice was particularly around the, uh, expertise that Northwest Indian College has with tribes. One of my favorite subjects here at the college was their English courses, also their tribal governance courses, particularly their English. Me being a fluent Chinese speaker, I need all the English courses that I could possibly take. It's also really fun because it's, you know, they used native scholars and native literature here at North West Indian College.
