So I'm gonna answer some frequently asked questions that campus riel viewers might have before they come to a college. So North Central's about two thousand three thousand students total. So what is the smaller school? Um, our student body consists of sixty percent residents, forty percent computers. Emily, we have over a half of international students that come to North Central's campus, whether it they come for two years or the four full year. Um, so the academic culture and North Central is very inclusive and progressive like, we like to make sure there's enough opportunities for everybody in that every department in every major is kind of getting the tender loving care they need. So students are able to succeed in those courses while they're here. Have been another big thing we've been trying to do in North Central to get people. They could get in there undergraduate years and beyond. Um, so with that popular majors at North Control would be, um, science is a really big. So I know a lot of biology students at North Central, and then the arts department is up and coming as well. We have a lot of different on ensembles for instrumental or quarrel purposes. So that kind of draws a lot of musical people in, especially with the downtown Naperville area and Chicago. Um, education is really big, too, So it is rigorous from what I've heard, but it's well worth it. You get to go through lesson plans, student teaching, sitting in on other people's classes, shadowing and just kind of getting ready for internships and student teaching. Your fourth or fifth year North central, um, some defining campus features are we're getting more ICO friendly as we are go on with time. So I know we're trying to incorporate a lot of green features in the buildings like waste when he used the facilities. Then we also have, like a lot of like light fixtures and a lot of shower in water retention features to make your sexual more sustainable in that aspect. Really dining halls we have, like compost bins and recycling bins, which I think is really cool, too. Um, and then Greek sports, music and clubs that are defining by North Central. So North Central actually doesn't have Greek life, So our sports, music and clubs kind of make up for what we are. So we have over sixty student organizations on campus to fit everybody's different interests and needs. Then for the sports, uh, we have District three, so we have a lot of different, um, team. We also have a lot of different ensembles for instrumental or vocal students to partake, and they could taking his money as they want. They could take in just the requirements, or it's kind of like you pick and choose what you think would be fit. I think the thing with North Central is they're pretty accepting of anybody and everyone like they want people to come. Whether it's gonna be the first year or there last two years is a transfer an international student. I would say Just be yourself, show that your passion about coming in North Central and it'll definitely show even when you are a student, like keeping passionate and giving back to the community eventually like your first two years, are kind of more learning about the community. As a junior, I think like these years have been more about giving back and making that impact for alum or prospect of students to see. Uh, something I wish They told me I was, uh, I think the academic corps is a little bit different. So once I got to orientation, I realized I'd be too taking general education courses. Um, I think before when I would go on visit days, they didn't tell me that there was, like, general education course, so that's kind of bond they take, like math and science, like my freshman year, and I had, like, classes that I wasn't really interested in. So I wish there were more classes that were kind of narrow into my interest per se. I I think that general education courses, they're good trip. You'll that are undecided or maybe want an extensive, extensive amount of classes to kind of look back on and their experience here, Um, for your application, I would say, Um, the best way to increase your chance of getting accepted is tio. I mean, for me, I just kind of cemented my test scores as they were. I think I emailed them a little too much, but it's better to ask questions than to not say anything. So if you keep it over mind about things you want to get involved in, are you? Get points of reference is like, definitely reach out to those points of reference is because your name will travel around campus. If people are saying you want to make a positive change on campus than that'll show like as a prospect of student like, Oh, gee, Ana wants to do a residence hall association, and Chiana wants to do all of these clubs and get involved with these scholarships, and she wants to do a lot of different experiences. So I think she's kind of reaching out and knowing what you want to do and maybe something you've never done before, like you want to take on in North Central. That's definitely important is just kind of expanding your horizons, getting more uneducated on diversity in an inclusive environment for not just you, but for your peers and also the faculty and staff that are there to help you along the way.
