Today, I'm going to be talking about the pros and cons of South Neighborhood of Challenge. Today I'm going to be talking about the pros and cons of South Neighborhood in South Neighborhood. The first pro of South neighborhood is that this neighborhood is so close to classes like literally 10 minutes away from the Commerce Sciences Building, 12 minutes away from the engineering building. There's like a lot of classes that are held in the South Neighborhood buildings. So I think if the location is important to you, definitely pick South Neighborhood and then try to get a class that is in the hall where you live in. Because then you can literally wake up and walk three minutes like downstairs or upstairs wherever your classes and you'll be there and you'll probably never relate, and in college attendance points actually matter a lot of the time. The second Pro is that there are three dining halls in this neighborhood. My personal favor of the three is Holden because they have this really good nacho station where they have, like nacho cheese with chips and sour cream and guacamole, basically like everything would ever want. Yeah, holding this like my secret, like a place that I go to that no one really liked knows about. I feel like people don't really appreciate holding half, but I love it. Another proto having a cafeteria in your dorm building as that when it's cold and snowing outside in Michigan winters, you won't have to go outside to get in now, I told you about how case Holden and Wilson I'll have cafeterias and you're probably wondering, OK, so like what's special about wonders Wonders just got this in brand new gym that MSU has created. It's called Wonder Bodies and let me just read you a little bit about it. Sounds really like hi tech, So Wonder Body is located in the garden level of Warner's Hall in room G 20 features a variety of exercise options, including free motion, select arise strength equipment, treadmills with GPS route compatibility TVs and audio ports, elliptical machines and motion trainers, both with TVs and audio ports, free weights, lifting equipment, aerobics and yield a room. I even considered getting a membership here, and I was sad to find out. If you're really into fitness, you We live in South Neighborhood, definitely getting membership at Wonder Bodies. The fourth Pro is all of the living learning communities that exist in South Neighborhood. Some of these I didn't even know existed, so this is used to me as well. Oh, just in case you don't know what a living learning community is, it's really cool. It's basically where students that are on the same career path live in the same building or on the same floor, and they go to classes together and they do events together. It's a really, like, easy, quick way to make friends. I definitely recommend it because you get so close with people so quick. So the first living learning community is core, which stands for the College of Engineering, Cornerstone and Residential Experience. Wonders and Holden Hall focus on academics, professional development and personal connections. It says that their mission is to provide early engineering students with unmatched learning opportunities within a supportive community that encourages academic, professional and personal achievement. It says that graduates of James Madison College go onto careers in government, politics, business, education and human service is as well as continue their education at top graduate and law schools. Then we've also got the honors college in Case Hall, and then the 4th 1 is Camp, which is located, and Holden Hall and Camp stands for College Assistance Migrant Program. This is a residential program that assist seasonal farmworkers, students and migrant students with academic, social and financial support to enable them to complete their first year of college. The last one is ROTC, which is the fifth floor of South Wondrous home. What the website says about them is they're growing future leaders, leaders in communities as well as for military service Though some of ROTC students will serve for their professional careers, others will transition into civilian careers. Remember, I will put all of the links to all these communities down below. That way you can do your own research and apply if you're interested. Now we're gonna talk about the cons, and I only put one con, which is that South neighborhood is very far from Grand River and Grande River. It's kind of like where everything happens, and it's well, the stores are in all the restaurants and north of Grand River is where all of the fraternities and the sororities are. So if you are planning on joining a fraternity or sorority in your freshman year, living in South Neighborhood, you're going tohave. To be asking people for rides or you bring to your house is because I know freshman years when you're the most involved in Greek life, so you'll be spending a lot of time in your house. If you're living in South Neighborhood, you just gotta deal with the fact that it's gonna be far from you're a fraternity or your sorority. Everyone, thank you so much for watching. I hope you learned something from the pros and cons of South neighborhood and that it helped to make your dorm decision. Let me know what neighborhood I should do next by commenting below. I just wanted to say that I love you guys so much and I hope you have an amazing day.
