So I'm here with my roommate Mary and her lovely fish he has here. I'm just gonna do a little interview with Mary. Mary, why don't you introduce yourself and explain why you chose to come back with you? Okay. Um, some of you might think this is kind of a dumb reason, but I don't know, I just love it. Um, my third grade teacher, she was a huge influence on my life, and all she talked about was Michigan State and how she went there and how her kids went there. So she was a big influence on me coming here and just pushing me to work super hard to get into, like, this level of the school on DH. So I came here because it's honestly been, like lifelong childhood dream of mine. Um, then the next question is described what the student body is like here. That's just its super cool, because it's like you'll be walking down the streets and like and the sidewalks stuff for me. So it's just really cool because I now have friends who go here who are different than me. That's just good for like my mindset about the world and honestly teaches you about so many different types of people. That's sweet, Okay? And then the next question is, what's your major? And what is the academic climate like? So I am a criminal justice major and the academic climate not just from my major, but honestly, for all of them. It's it's kind of weird to describe its like we're really competitive, but also, at the same time way want to help everyone because we all want, Oh, what? We're all here. We're all the people who came from high schools, where like we may be. We're like some of the best students who went to those high schools on DH then. So we come here and when you like, bring together like the best of the best, it's like there there could be some people who are like, I need to stay the best, and I don't care what I do. Then they're also it's like, Well, I also love when other people do super well, so it's like everyone's super into being the top, but also they want everyone to be a part of the job, You know, it's just weird. So I last question for you is what is your favorite and least favorite thing about? Okay, so my favorite thing about MSU is the new mind set that has given me about the world and about how people could be different for me. Different doesn't need bad, Different can be super beautiful, and it's like it makes me appreciate so many different walks of life and cultures that I never even thought about that much. I love the people like you know who are back in my hometown and stuff. Being away from them is sometimes hard and like For me, it's like it just now are away.
