So for this video, I'm going to give you a little tour of my dorm room. Uh, is my sophomore year, so I chose to live, uh, in the dorms for my second year. You as a freshman, you do have to live in the dorms. Um, and then after your freshman year, uh, it's optional. I chose to continue living in the doors because of how convenient it is. With the meal plan that you get, um, Yeah, So there's two types of dorms. What that means, Uh, my type of dorm is a sweet style, So I have one other roommate that I live with, and then we share a bathroom with, um, another room right next door, and we actually live with the are A So there's only one person living in the room next door. Um, most of you will have just two other freshman students. So then there's also community style, so some of the other dorms. Our community, Which means you and your roommate just live together in a royal. Um, and then there's no bathroom connected to room. Down the hall, if you walk, uh, there would be a bathroom That's for the entire hall. There would be showers in there, Um, and everything you need in there. Uh, if you want your bathroom close to you, if you want it farther away, if you want to share with people, um, the creative style bathroom does he cleaned all the time. So that's a bonus with your sweet style bathroom. If you want lofted or not, can also move around any of the furniture. Um, they give us a dresser, Um, which is plenty of space, uh, for what we need. So she just has one bed, and then she's a lot more space because it's just her living here. Uh, few my friends are over right now they're playing Mario car. Um, yeah, this is typically what college kids do when they have free time is, uh, well, for our room we have Mario Kart because I personally love Marty, and I'm playing on my free time. Yeah, it's It's nice when you have free time during the day or in between classes where you could just stop it, hang out with some friends. So in this video, I'm going to be talking about how I found my roommate and some little dorm room essentials that I have in my room that would really benefit when you come here. So how I found my roommate is when I first applied to Michigan stay and got accepted. Um, they're sending me emails of, like, information of what I needed to know, um, for a Opie and all that. So they sent me an email giving me information how I could find a roommate. One of those ways is through room sink on Facebook. Like, um, what kind of things you didn't high school. It will give you some suggestions of which kind of roommate. Um, would you probably most likely get along with, Um, so I kind of like pears you up. What people like to compare it to, um and I found it really beneficial. Um, other girls on their seeing if they were interested, are looking for a roommate. Um, and so I said a little bit about myself in that, and that's where, uh, my roommate, freshman year reached out to me. Um, we kind of live near each other, so we kind of knew each other. Yeah, we were roommates for freshman year and then for software here this year. I was just I roomed with one of my friends that I met last year. How to do that? Um, some room essentials, I guess, is the number one. If you want to hang anything on your walls, get command hooks. Um, also power strips, um, are really helpful and, like extension cords, because you're gonna want to plug in your computer over here. Your TV over here, your refrigerator, over here. Um, they're just really helpful for when you wanna plug in things across room.
