The following is an computer-generated summary of the video transcript.
In this video, I'm gonna be talking about my social life. Going has so many little creative events and big events that happen all the time during the week during the weekends. There's just so much to do all the time in a non covert world. So I'm honestly going to be talking about all the things I did my freshman year. I might make another video about how Houghton has been coping with co vid on events during Cove it. I'm gonna primarily talk about the events from last year because those are events that would normally happen if you're here, not in Copa time. Events that typically happen every year are the hoedown and the Homecoming Purple and Gold Week. Thes air activities that happened during the first like months of school to get freshman kind of oriented on the social life of Ho End and just for people to connect and make relationships. That's kind of like Spirit Week, where the whole school is split up into two teams, purple and gold because purple and gold, our school colors and Basically, you're just competing in a lot of challenges and random events to get more points for your team. Purple has been in the rain for the last couple of years. I'm on the purple team, so I've been winning, and it's great whether I do stuff or not. Last year I did participate in the lip Sync battle, and I participated in the Ping Pong tournament and got some points for my team. There's a lot more stuff out there that gets you points for Purple and Gold Week. If you decide to go on sports teams, there's always events that are happening with your sports teams. Uh, my volleyball girls always have our annual volleyball Olympics. No, it has nothing to do with volleyball is just a bunch of random, like minute to win. Some of them might be embarrassing, but it's just a fun way to connect and have a lot of fun. Every dorm typically has a one big event at the beginning of the year to get people on their floor connected and starting relationships. As I mentioned in a previous video, Gillette race is basically like the Amazing Race, which a bunch of random activities and fun things to dio Andi. We're all just fighting for the wind, and it's a lot of fun and super intense were running all over campus just to complete challenges and get point s. Some of the smaller activities include hammock ing in the woods with Nerf Wars and Chamberlain roller skating in the gym. That was so much fun Clue Night, which is where there's different rooms, and it's basically clue in real life. One of the really cool things is Midnight breakfast. So at the end of the second semester and the end of the fourth semester, they have midnight breakfast. It's breakfast at midnight, and everyone shows up. They're just hanging out and talking and having a good time. Of course, movie nights are happening all the time, whether it's as an event or just as a group of friends, because the TVs and Lounges spot is one of the most fun things that Houghton does is basically just ah whole entertainment show with two hosts that are just having a whole bunch of fun. It could be really talent, but a lot of it is just for humor. Do you enjoy the video and have a good It's honestly about the atmosphere in the environment, but as well as the humor up on the screen, it's like an hour and a half long to two hours of just entertainment. I even submitted to videos this year about, uh, conflict in the dorm. That is just me being a weird roommate and the other video waas, uh, group therapy. Yeah, my group of friends typically does game nights, often on like Friday or Saturday night, and it'll go until the A M and we'll just play Slap Jack and among us on just a bunch of random games, um, that keep us up and will even just have deep late night talks and stuff. There is a lot of stuff to say about off campus stuff. I know I said that we are in the middle of nowhere, but I think I'll probably make a second video of the off campus fun that you can have. Uh, but for the time being, this is the end of the video of all the fun things. There's so much more that here are my favorites and a few of the ones that have stood out to me, um, here on Holton's campus, so I hope you'll enjoy and I'll see you in the next one.
